Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
After reading some reviews I was worried that it wouldn't be cooked all the way through, but I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of using only 2.5 cups of sugar and I only had Neufchatel (lower fat cream cheese) on hand so that's what I used. I lost track of time and may have baked it for an extra 10 minutes, but it was perfect and delicious! I served it with home made whipped cream and mixed berries.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
These biscuits were very easy to make and turned out wonderfully! They were fluffy and soft inside. I took others' advice and mixed and kneaded the dough as minimally as possible. I quadrupled the recipe for a large family breakfast and only needed 3 cups of milk. We used them for sausage gravy but also ate some with homemade jam and they were fantastic! I will definitely be making these again.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
This was sooo good! The vanilla made such a great flavor. I used Texas toast which makes a big difference over regular bread.

Monkey Bread with a Twist

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
This was an excellent way to change up monkey bread! The apples definitely added a welcome tart taste. I did not use exact measurements with this recipe but it's the kind that you can't mess up too badly by estimating. Whenever I make a baked caramel dish I add a half cup or so of cream to the caramel mixture to make the caramel soft instead of super sticky.

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
These muffins were very tasty! I used only 1/2 cup of sugar and they were still very good. I realized in the middle of assembling them that I only had olive oil on hand so I tried it and they still turned out fine. I didn't really know what to expect since I've never baked with olive oil before. Great way to use up some zucchini from the freezer!

Jennie's Heavenly Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
This recipe is fantastic! The sauce is very similar to an alfredo sauce so I served it over fettucini noodles. I used plain cream cheese instead of the chive and onion cream cheese and it was still well seasoned. It actually ended up quite salty for my taste so maybe next time I would use half the Italian seasoning and add some other spices without extra salt. All in all it was a big hit!
