Julie's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
This was the first time I didn't read the reviews for a recipe before I made it because I didn't have time and I thought, "how hard can a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe be to make?" I made a huge mistake. If I had read the reviews about how thin and runny they were I would have picked another recipe, and I SHOULD have!!! I they stuck all over the pan and they tasted good, but the end result was frustrating and I won't make them again. I have half a bowl of batter left that I am dreading to make tomorrow.

Apple Walnut Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
I think this is a fantastic recipe. When I was younger my first job was in a bakery, and they used to sell an apple walnut cake. They would never give me the recipe, but this one is the one I've been searching for forever! I did take the suggestion of beating half the sugar with the oil and eggs, and it turned out perfect. I didn't have a bunt pan, so I used a nine-inch spring form pan. It worked, but the center was a little burnt, so I would definitely reccomend using the bunt pan. The batter looks as if it's going to be very dry, but the moisture from the apples keeps it moist. I topped it with dulce de leche (sort of like caramel) and crushed walnuts. It's delicious

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
These are outrageous! I am living in Chile with a Chilean family right now. I made these brownies for them and I've never seen them so happy before. They said it's the most delicious desert they have ever tasted! I would definitely reccomend them for everyone. Definitely only cook them for 25 minutes. that way they are chewy and fudgey. Thanks for the recipe!
