I'm married to a wonderful man and the mother of two awesome boys. I work full time in a public library. I don't get to bake and create like I used to but love doing when I can.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking in general so my favorite things to cook would be anything that turns out great.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When our boys were small we always made cutout cookies. I would set up the video camera and video all of us cutting out the cookies. Now that the boys are grown we slip the video in and laugh at the fun we use to have. Hopefully I'll get to do that with my grandchildren some day.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime my family requests things I've made in the past.
My cooking tragedies
When I first married I knew my husband loved apple dumplings with cinnamon. I thought I would fix the dumplings and add a little extra cinnamon. It must have been too much because the final results looked like I had poured tar over the dumplings. This is why I love him so, he actually ate them and told me they wasn't that bad. What a man!!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
This is an awesome recipe. Couldn't be any easier. I had shredded chicken in my freezer and used that instead of the chicken breasts. Instead of water, I think I'll use chicken broth the next time. Will definitly make this recipe again.

This recipe was great. I had to make some revisions because of not having the exact ingrediants. I took the advice from another reviewer and used chicken broth instead of water. Cut up smoke sausage instead of ham hocks. Used 1 can of French Onion soup. I only left the rice out because my husband doesn't care for rice. Served this with hot out-of-the-oven cornbread. Will definetly be making this again. ** I would advise to soak the peas overnight. I cooked this with the crock pot for 10 hours and they were still a little crunchy. Had to finish in the pressure cooker.
