Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
I've made this for several holiday parties now, and it's always a big hit! I would suggest freezing this overnight for the best effect. It's excellent as is, but for those looking for an extra "kick," I add a splash of vodka.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Moist, sweet, and delicious! Even after several days, the cookies were as moist as the day I made them. This is the chocolate chip cookie recipe I will use from now on. I used the vanilla pudding for the first time, but I might experiment with chocolate or chocolate mint in the near future.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Talk about rave reviews! I made these last year for a Christmas party and had to give the recipe to several people. I've used milk chocolate cake and frosting with chocolate almond bark topping, as well as white chocolate almond bark with red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting. This year I'm trying chocolate cake/almond bark with caramel frosting. I love it when my goodies look like they came straight from the candy shop!

Banana Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
I make a very similar version of this trifle. The only real difference is that I substitute spice cake for the pound cake. It brings out the banana flavor and gives the recipe a kick!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I used a regular beer and it tasted okay. Next time I'll try a light beer so there isn't such an overwhelming beer smell and taste.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This dip was fantastic! I did make a couple of changes, though. First, I mixed a pound of ground beef with the refried beans (I cooked the hamburger in about 3/4 of the taco seasoning). Secondly, I added 1/4 of the taco seasoning to the sour cream/cream cheese layer for a little extra taste. Third, I used half cheddar cheese and half taco cheese for some extra Mexican flavoring. Finally, I didn't use lettuce after reading some of the reviews, but I'm sure that had no affect on the taste. I will absolutely make this again!

Banana Oatmeal Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
I personally didn't care much for this cookie, and it didn't get as much attention from my coworkers as other cookies I made. It came out somewhat dry and lacked the sweetness I prefer in my cookies. That being said, it is definitely a cookie that tastes better on the second day, once the banana has really settled into the oatmeal. I'm a cookie fanatic, but I don't think I'll keep this on my "must-make-again" list.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Amazing. Just amazing. I'm always experimenting with different types of cookies, but this is the cookie everyone begs for the most. I did change the recipe slightly as recommended by other reviews. I substituted 1/2c brown sugar for 1/2c of the white sugar, I baked the cookies for 12-13 minutes instead of 15, I was far more liberal with my spices (and that includes adding it to the icing), and I drizzled the icing rather than drowning the cookie. I've already made 3 batches since "pumpkin season" began, and I anticipate baking at least another 3-5 batches before Christmas. It will be a hit at your Office Christmas party!

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
Incredibly salty (though still yummy)! I would suggest using some low sodium soup to balance the salt, if you can find it. I've also used 1 can of cream of mushroom soup in substitute of 1 can of cream of chicken. This really is a decent recipe over all but, even as someone who adores salt, I thought the original recipe was too much.

Simple and delicious. This is one of my husband's favorite meals, and it tastes like it took hours to cook!

Oreo™ Cookie Bark

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
I can't believe how well this went over with my office. Several people begged me for the recipe. It takes 5 minutes to throw together and turns out beautifully. Just make sure you don't make the batch too thick or it will never break!

The cookies were a little flat, not fluffy at all. But the taste was very good!

This tasted great! The only substitution I made was to use Italian sausage instead of pork sausage for a little more taste/spice. Definitely a keeper!

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
Like other reviews, I decreased the sugar by 1/4c. I am a sugar fanatic, but the full amount would have been a little too much. I made a double batch for a party, and it was almost gone by the end. This really is the best lemonade ever!

Easy Bunny Cake

So cute and ridiculously easy to get the "pattern" correct. I am not a detail-oriented person when it comes to decorating cakes, but I had no problems at all with this one!
