Easy Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I made this last night and it was AMAZING! I made homemade mashed potatoes and added the cream cheese and regular cheese to it and of course some butter and milk and then I also added some French Fried Onions to it (that potato mixture was so good). I left out the bacon in the mixture and saved it all for the top (by the way, I also fried my own bacon instead of the Oscar Mayer...and just crumbled it up myself) But this recipe was so good. My husband is a picky eater and he came back for seconds, he had some more later that night AND he just had some for lunch today! Mission accomplished!

The Best Spaghetti Casserole

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
My husband LOVED this recipe! Of course, it's just me and him, therefore it made entirely too much so I ended up taking the rest to work and they loved it as well. I added a few spices to it and next time I will probably cut the recipe in 1/2 to make less but I will definitely be making this again for sure!

Golden Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
I followed this recipe without making any changes and it turned out wonderfully both times I've made it. The first people I made it for told me it was perfect because it wasn't as sweet as most pecan pies are and the lady even asked for it on her birthday! I love it and will use the recipe again.

Glazed Almond Bundt Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
This cake was amazing! Everyone loved it! I decided to use powdered sugar for the glaze and I liked it better because it wasn't as "grainy" but I've also made it with regular sugar and people liked the crunch :)

Tater Tot Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
I loved this recipe. Although I didn't make it as directed ONLY because my husband is the most picky eater in the world! So I had to omit the onions, garlic & beans (I also omitted the taco seasoning because I hate that stuff) BUT even without all of that, it was delicious! I added some sour cream into the mixture as well and I also lined up the top of the mixture with tots so that there were more and they were crunchy! I'll definitely be making again.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
This turned out wonderful! I made it for a baby shower and everyone loved it. I subsituted some of the of fruits though to fit my liking but it was still really colorful. Those homemade cinnamon sugar chips are great by themselves as well! I'll definitely be making this recipe again.

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
This recipe was really good! I omitted the onions, mushrooms and peppers ONLY because my husband won't eat those but nonetheless, it was still good. I added extra garlic and cayenne pepper and ended up adding some cornstarch to the sauce because it wasn't thick enough (maybe because all the extra stuff wasn't in it) I will def make again!

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Turned out good! I made this recipe this morning for my neighbors when they all came over. I couldn't make it with onions because they don't like them but next time I will def add them and probably some green peppers (or just buy the hash browns that already have them in it). I heated up some tortillas and we made breakfast burritos out of it! Will make again.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
I LOVED this recipe! I used a little less butter and soy sauce than directed and added a few extra cashews to the mix, but it was amazing. 3 of us had it with our fish and rice and we devoured the entire thing by the end of the meal. Great recipe and will definitely make again. Thanks!

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
This recipe was awesome! My husband loves crab cakes and for him to say he doesn't even need sauce with them, that's a big deal. I used imitation crab meat, which caused me to use more mayo to keep the patties together. I think next time I'll try the canned crab. Wish I could use fresh crab meat but I live in Japan and our military grocery store doesn't carry it. I'll try to buy some off base one day. Will definitely make again!!!

Jackie's Special Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
I made this recipe exactly like it said EXCEPT for the fact that I added seasoning that did have salt in it and didn't realize till afterwards. BAD IDEA. I'm not a big salt person so I definitely tasted it. But other than that, the center was a little odd. I did use a therometer to check the temp before taking it out. This was my first time making meatloaf though, so I feel bad giving it only 3 stars when all these problems were technically my own I think.

PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
This recipe turned out great for my husbands birthday. I've never made cheesecake before so I was nervous. I had to use a 9 inch pie plate because I don't have a springfoam thing. Turned out alright although I had a TON of the cheesecake mixture leftover (my fault though, not yours!). It did crack in the middle all over the place but apparently that's normal. I wish I could make it perfect!

Fancy Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Great recipe! I followed it exactly except for the fruit. I just used a bunch of colorful fruits and it turned out great. I tossed the bananas in lemon juice so they wouldn't brown, and tossed the strawberries in sugar to take away from the "tartness" :)

Oreo® Cookie Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Great recipe! Only changes I made were that I only used 1 package of cream cheese (which was plenty) and I used chocolate fudge pudding instead of vanilla. I got a lot of great comments about this and I will definitely be making this again :)

Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
This recipe was only alright to me. They were a bit dry and I had to eat them with some butter to help it out but the combination of flavors were good together. I made this because I wanted to try something new but I should have known that I wasn't going to enjoy the fresh peaches in a muffin. My personal taste buds of course, so no one needs to stray from this due to the way I taste! I'd made again for others though!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
I enjoyed this recipe a lot BUT I will give my input just for future reference :) I made it in a 9x13 pan due to the amount of crescent rolls in the can, I only use about a third of the chips, and only 1/2 a bag of the cheese. I love sour cream so I used the whole container and I did mix it in with the beef. Next time I will probably add some refried beans and corn to make it more interesting and flavorful. Other than that, I liked it and will make it again!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
This was a good recipe although didn't match up to my mom's GA Peach Cobbler...everyone loved it though! Other reviewers were right about the topping not being enough and it was a little "cake like" so next time I will change that up but I'll definitely use this one again!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
This recipe was great! I omitted the onions because my husband is picky but I did add some corn to it halfway through the cooking process. I also took someone else's advice and cooked the dumplings for 2 hours on high. And I also seasoned the chicken beforehand. Turned out great! Will definitely make again!!

Slow-Cooked White Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
This was an excellent recipe. I did add some potatoes to it but that's it. Everyone loved it and asked to take some home! I also made it a bit soupier than normal because I wanted it to be more like soup than chili. Will definitely make again! Thank so much!

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2012
These turned out alright in my book. Surprisingly my husband said he liked them and he never really cares for pork chops so I guess there's something to this recipe! I didn't care for them too much but that's just me. I still suggest people make them because every person's tastebuds are different! I added a bit more pepper and a bit less salt just because I don't care for salt and the sauce is already salty.
