Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
love this! Love that so many people have saved it too! And everyone puts their version..I used regular american cheese because thats all I had and also melted the butter then poured it onto the bread for easier spreading, yummy!

Worry Free Ice Cream

Made with full fat evaporated milk and added 1/3 cocoa, tastes like a wendys chocolate frosty. Also dont have an ice cream maker so just froze in a baking pan with foil for an hour.

Best quiche I ever made! Seasoned w/garlic salt to taste. Also omitted spinach, but good base recipe for anyone to tweak to their liking.

Baked Oatmeal Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
I think the trick to these not falling apart might be to press them firmly in your pan, letting them sit in the oven another 5 minutes (turned off) then waiting until they are cooled to cut. I had no problem with mine falling apart and this is all I did different besides eliminating the sugar for stevia.

Homemade Biscuit Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Loved it, didn't have buttermilk or vinegar to make it so I just made drop biscuits with regular milk. Reduced oven to 400 and baked a bit longer (4 mins) or so, because they were burning a litle at the higher temp. Came out perfect, fluffy and soft; added some honey to the top once baked and reminded me of churchs honey butter biscuits!

Very good and easy, I made mine with bacon and instead of the refrigerated bread made it with biscuit mix fr this site, left it at 8 eggs (didnt want it too eggy) and cooked 350, sprinked cheese on top, baked up golden and tastes great.

Good but a little too strong on the cocoa flavor. I made it on the stove and it was very quick too.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I didn't have cream cheese OR tomatillo salsa but I did have cilantro that was threatening to go bad on me and wanted to make this, so I made a simple white sauce (2tbs butter 2tbs flour 1C milk) and added some green enchilada sauce, cilantro, garlic salt and lime juice. It was very delicious w/a little kick of heat. I am sure once I try the cream cheese it will be 5 star! I know I changed it up some but sometimes you have to use what u have or have it go bad, so I hope this helps someone out there missing an ingredient to be brave & try it anyway!

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This was ok but waay too sweet for me. I made with frozen blueberries, and one chopped apple omitted the chocolate chips and coconut, and it was still too sweet I can only imagine how it would have turned out if I had added the choc. chips or even raisins or dried fruit..shudder. Next time I will try to make my own condensed milk so I can add less sugar but written as is, I had to give it 3 stars only, sorry.

followed exactly except I didnt add the oil since my meat was not lean and had enough fat in it to keep it juicy.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Great recipe I make this all the time, to make it healthier I make with whole wheat flour instead. I also substitute applesauce for the butter and use 1/2 cup sugar or honey & add raisins. I usually will omit the topping altogether but still tastes great!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
So simple and so delicious! I made it with nunaturals stevia instead of the sugar. Also before making it tempered the egg by putting it in a glass of hot water (in the shell)while I made the rest, then at the end turned stove off then add the warm egg, but leave on the burner (turned off)while you stir it 2 mins. This prevented it from leaving egg floaties.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Very good, but I didn't like it so much with the lemon juice, so I will make it without next time, I also made it with coconut sugar (so its sugar free) and made it crustless, came out like little cheesecake cookies! But they didn't stick, just an FYI for those of you on low carb diets! ;)
