Chocolate Avocado Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2014
I liked it, just wanted to share a tip about reducing the avocado taste (which is very minimal as is) but its best to get an avocado that is a little bit under ripe but still soft. The riper it is the more the taste will be pronounced.

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2014
I had to make my own semi-sweet chocolate with cocoa powder/xylitol/butter, I melted it then added the rest of the ingredients except for the extra cocoa which I completely omitted. Also I subbed xylitol for the sugar. Baked 300 for 40 minutes. Came out great!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IX

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2013
I don't think I have ever given a bad review before but this was just terrible. Dry, tasteless, and the worst part was having wasted so many things in order to make it. I will try to salvage it by crumbling into milk to eat like a cereal or something, and by adding more sugar. Very disappointed.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
Ok I am one of those people who changes the recipes as I see fit. Not because I want to but because I don't allways have all the ingredients. So I want to offer some substitutions for those others like me who might not have it all. I subbed the sausage for chorizo, didn't have the canned Italian tomatoes so cut up some tomatoes and sprinkled Italian seasoning on it, didn't have cream so I made my own with milk and a little cornstarch. Didn't have bowties so I subbed egg noodles. It was great!

Gooey Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
Made almost sugar free by using 1/2 C stevia powder and 3/4 C coconut sugar. I also added some cinnamon & used vanilla instead. Came out very sweet but not too sweet. Just right. Might make completely sugar free by using a sugar free box cake mix. Was done in 30 mins. Oh I also added 1/4 C extra melted butter to the Cream cheese mixture before baking. Very addicting!

Buttermilk Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
I didnt have buttermilk so I had to substitute 1 C sour cream and also didnt have celery seed so did without. This was very delicious and creamy, then I added dried cranberries and it took it over the top! Made it with grandmas salmon patties also fr this site. Great recipe, thanks!

Key Lime Pie VII

So very easy and tastes great. I made it crustless by just spraying a pie pan w/pam and baking as directed for 8 minutes. My husband who is very picky about sweets loved it!

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Reduced sugar by half, it was sweet enough with the jam. Used white sugar because it was all I had, also didn't use the baking soda because I was out. Used about 1/4 less butter which I also melted, super easy and tastes great! Thanks.

Chocolate Bread Pudding by EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
I changed it up a bit so instead of chocolate it was just regular bread pudding, I omitted the choc. chips and the orange peel and did the rest as stated, I also added raisins and sprinkled cinnamon on it before baking. Very good and easy. Love how it held together well, making it more like bars. I did NOT make the caramel sauce it would have been overkill of sweetness IMO.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
So simple and so delicious! I made it with nunaturals stevia instead of the sugar. Also before making it tempered the egg by putting it in a glass of hot water (in the shell)while I made the rest, then at the end turned stove off then add the warm egg, but leave on the burner (turned off)while you stir it 2 mins. This prevented it from leaving egg floaties.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Very good, but I didn't like it so much with the lemon juice, so I will make it without next time, I also made it with coconut sugar (so its sugar free) and made it crustless, came out like little cheesecake cookies! But they didn't stick, just an FYI for those of you on low carb diets! ;)

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
I didn't have cream cheese OR tomatillo salsa but I did have cilantro that was threatening to go bad on me and wanted to make this, so I made a simple white sauce (2tbs butter 2tbs flour 1C milk) and added some green enchilada sauce, cilantro, garlic salt and lime juice. It was very delicious w/a little kick of heat. I am sure once I try the cream cheese it will be 5 star! I know I changed it up some but sometimes you have to use what u have or have it go bad, so I hope this helps someone out there missing an ingredient to be brave & try it anyway!

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
This was ok but waay too sweet for me. I made with frozen blueberries, and one chopped apple omitted the chocolate chips and coconut, and it was still too sweet I can only imagine how it would have turned out if I had added the choc. chips or even raisins or dried fruit..shudder. Next time I will try to make my own condensed milk so I can add less sugar but written as is, I had to give it 3 stars only, sorry.

Homemade Biscuit Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Loved it, didn't have buttermilk or vinegar to make it so I just made drop biscuits with regular milk. Reduced oven to 400 and baked a bit longer (4 mins) or so, because they were burning a litle at the higher temp. Came out perfect, fluffy and soft; added some honey to the top once baked and reminded me of churchs honey butter biscuits!

followed exactly except I didnt add the oil since my meat was not lean and had enough fat in it to keep it juicy.
