Broccoli with Rigatoni

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2014
After following the recipe, the dish was pretty bland. It needed quite a bit of salt and pepper to add flavor. It's a great base recipe though, and it would be good with various types of veggies and herbs.

Pork Chops with Apple Cider Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2013
Simple and delicious! The only changes I made were that I used bone-in loin chops, and had to substitute herbes de provence for the rosemary (it's just what I had on hand.) It also took a bit longer than stated for the sauce to reduce down. My slightly-picky husband said that he thought it was just a bit too "tangy" at first so maybe I'll cut down on the vinegar next time. Other than that, perfect!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
I use ricotta in place of cottage cheese, but other than that I follow the recipe exactly. Delicious! Even my Italian husband loves it.

This is my go-to chili recipe! Great as-is or you can add some peppers for extra heat. Serve with cornbread and enjoy a great meal!

Panzanella Salad

Delicious! I made this to go along with lasagna on Christmas Eve and it was perfect. I followed the advice on another reviewer and added some baby spinach.

Very good! I made it for myself but tossed it with some baby spinach for a complete salad.

Melt In Your Mouth Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
The flavor was good, but cooking it for so long made them COMPLETELY dried out. I would make this again, but cut down the cooking time by quite a bit.

KISS Salmon

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
Very unique take on salmon, although I did not cook it for 40 minutes (20 was just fine.) My husband and I enjoyed the flavor and I would definitely make it again.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
I made this for Easter dinner and WOW! Every single person said it was the best ham they'd ever eaten, and I had to agree! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out wonderful. The whole house smelled great and everyone had seconds (and thirds!) This recipe was an easy 5 stars.

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. A simple, no-fuss egg salad. The only change I'd make in the future is to use dijon mustard for a bit of a kick and extra flavor. Thanks!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
Delicious and easy! This was the first time I've ever made zucchini bread and it turned out perfectly. I followed the advice of another user and used 3 cups of zucchini, and used one cup of brown sugar in place of one cup of the white sugar. I'll definitely be making this again!

Panzanella Panini

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
Delicious! I've been making sandwiches with tomato, basil, and fresh mozzarella for a while, but I never thought of adding balsamic vinegar. Brought it up to a whole new level! I know I'll be eating a lot of these this summer!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
One of my absolute favorite meals in autumn. I follow the advice of another reviewer and marinade the chops in a mixture of apple cider and soy. Then I pour some of the glaze and apples over the chops, bake in the oven at 350 until done, and then pour the reserved glaze and apples over them before serving. Perfection!

Grilled Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
These were pretty good, but I will make some changes in the future. The cumin flavor was a little overwhelming, so I will probably halve it next time, and maybe add a bit more brown sugar. I also substituted cinnamon for the cayenne pepper, and that worked nicely. Overall a good recipe!

Fried Onion Rings

I enjoyed these, but my husband hated them. They didn't have a TON of flavor, but they had a nice crunch and I thought they were better after I put some extra salt on them.

This will definitely be my go-to salmon recipe from now on! The sauce had a perfect balance of sweet and salty, and my picky husband loved it. I can't wait to make it again!
