About this Cook
I'm a wife who loves to cook but has trouble coming up with her own recipes. I love to take the recipes I find online and tweak them to my tastes.
My favorite things to cook
For everyday meals I like to cook chicken and fish. For special occasions, my favorite main course is lamb!
My cooking tragedies
When I was younger I tried to cook my first meal- spaghetti. I forgot I had the pasta on the stove and ended up turning it to mush!

Oven BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
Very good! Per the reviews I omitted the water, which was a good decision. Due to what I had on hand, I also used apple cider vinegar instead of white, one tablespoon of dijon instead of dry mustard, and just because I like bbq to be sweet I added a bit of pure maple syrup. I'll definitely be making this one again!

Broccoli with Rigatoni
After following the recipe, the dish was pretty bland. It needed quite a bit of salt and pepper to add flavor. It's a great base recipe though, and it would be good with various types of veggies and herbs.

Pork Chops with Apple Cider Glaze
Simple and delicious! The only changes I made were that I used bone-in loin chops, and had to substitute herbes de provence for the rosemary (it's just what I had on hand.) It also took a bit longer than stated for the sauce to reduce down. My slightly-picky husband said that he thought it was just a bit too "tangy" at first so maybe I'll cut down on the vinegar next time. Other than that, perfect!
