About this Cook
Both my parents are wonderful cooks, however my mother announced to me several years ago that she never really liked to cook and that floored me. I asked her how she could have been so good at something she didn't really like and she said it just had to be done. I love to cook and experiment with different things. Some dishes I put together without a recipe, just because I think it will sound good and I don't have too many rejects. I consider myself lucky to have a family that will go along with this experimentation.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook quick dishes with natural ingredients. I do a lot of my cooking from scratch for the health of my family.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid
This recipe works out every time I use it. I leave out the peppers (we don't like them), almonds (allergy) and I make my own biscuit dough instead of the crescents (we don't eat canned dough). I believe this is such a good recipe that even the changes to suit my family do not harm the overall great taste of this recipe. SUPER!!

Hungarian Mushroom Soup
I have three words for you. TO DIE FOR! I have never had mushroom soup made from scratch, but this is what my mouth and brain said it should be like. I left out the dill b/c I didn't have any and used less lemon juice and less parsley like previous reviews suggested. I like onion, but 2 cups seemed a little too much for me so I used 1 cup. This was very good and any future mushrooms that cross my path will become THIS soup not salad decorations.

Fresh Mango Sorbet
Made this yesterday for the first time and it rocked. I did two things differently, one was to use all the mangos I had (about 5) and only 1/2 c sugar (we don't like the after taste of Splenda). Turned out very well. Needless to say it is gone. Will definately be doing this again and probably with other fruits too. Yum!!
