About this Cook
I'm a lover of good food. Born and raise on caribbean food, I now dabble in cooking and baking from time to time. I'm no expert but I have no time to waste on bland food.
My favorite things to cook
Sweets, I love apples in everything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas and Thanksgiving. My mother (like most multicultural families) has infused cultural favourites with the staple turkey and stuffing to make the most delicious feasts. I should also mention that I never had a "dry turkey" until I was twenty. My mom is the reason why I LOVE TURKEY SO MUCH.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Sauce
Made this recipe this weekend for thanksgiving. I found the consistency of the cranberry sauce not to my liking. I think I will stick to making cranberry sauce over the stove.

Fall French Onion Soup
This recipe was good but not fantastic. I'm a huge apple fan so I was hoping for more of a apple flavour. I omitted the oil and just used the butter but next time I might use a little less. I also as other have suggested used beef broth instead of chicken and left the ingredients to marry for 8 hours on low instead of 4 hours on high.

Honey Curried Roasted Chicken and Vegetables
Made this for a potluck for around 50 people, it was gone in 15 mins! I used chicken drumsticks, thighs and cut up chicken breasts. I found the drumsticks didn't go over as well as the chicken thighs and breasts. I doubled the sauce and used slightly less honey as others have suggested. The veggies took forever even at 400 degrees finally after an hour and a half, I turned the oven up to 450 degrees because at this point I was running late. Overall,I would make this again but I would allow extra time for the veggies.
