Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
I don't think I will ever make beef stroganoff with sour cream again. This was so delicious and both me, my fiance and best friend said it was amazing! I did make a couple of adjustments but pretty much stuck to the recipe. I used 2lbs of meat, 2 cans of the golden mushroom soup and added some chicken bullion powder, garlic salt, steak house seasoning and some pepper. I didn't measure 1/2 cup of onion; instead I just used half of a large yellow onion and finally added a third of a 16oz package chopped mushrooms. Right before I added the cream cheese I sauted the remainder of the mushrooms and added to the crock pot. Then added the 4oz of cream cheese. I took out a large amount (about half or a little more) of the liquid in the crockpot and boiled it in a sauce pan, adding a teeny bit of butter (less then a tbsp) and some corn starch until it thickened up a bit and poured it back into the crockpot, turned off the heat and let sit for about 10 minutes to continue thickening. Served over egg noodles and was amazing! I am making some tonight and am going to serve it with some grilled asparagus.

Vegan Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
I thought that these were great! I'm not vegan but I try to eat vegan/vegetarian versions of things whenever possible because it's better for you. I really loved how these came out! The only thing that I changed was I added 3tsp cinnamon but that's only because I eat cinnamon with almost everything (I LOVE it). I think next time i'm going to try using sparkling water instead of regular water to see if they can be even fluffier.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
These pretzels were really good. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the recipe called for way too much flour...I used about 3.5 cups. The dough was really hard to roll into long strips so I made pretzel circles (which was not a problem at all). The temp was also a bit too high. I cooked them at 415. Thank you for the great recipe! :)

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
I changed this just a little bit because I only had butter. I used just under 1 cup of butter (that is all that I had left) and 3 3/4 cup of powdered sugar. I also added a splash of rum and lots of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg because I was using this to frost my rum spice cookies. I put everything in my food processor and it came out amazing! I am so glad that I won't have to buy my frosting at the store now.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
These pancakes were amazing! I only had apple cider vinegar and because I was afraid of tasting it I only used 1tbsp of it instead of 2, and added cinnamon. My boyfriend likes them sweet so I also added an extra tablespoon of sugar, then doubled the recipe. The first one I made was just alright but nothing special, because I made it really big and cooked it on high heat so I then tried it a little differently. When I used a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop the batter and cooked them on really low heat and they came out amazing!!!!!!!! I will make these again for sure!

Ricotta and Spinach Stuffed Manicotti

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
So I changed this up a little...I boiled the noodles for a few minutes before cooking and didn't put the water in the bottom to cook. I also used alfredo sauce instead of red sauce. The filling was really good but I think it had too much spinach....next time I will use a bit less.

Four Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
YUMMY! My boyfriend's daughter was over today and she wanted macaroni and cheese so I decided to make this for her. I halfed the recipe because I didn't need that much and used only cheddar cheese. I boiled shell noodles, drained and then poured the cheese sauce on top, and she LOVED it! My boyfriend and I loved it too.

Butternut and Acorn Squash Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Sooo I changed this up a bit and I LOVED how it came out. I used 1 acorn squash instead of two, half the chicken broth, half the cream cheese, a little less then 1/2 stick of butter, 1.5tbsp of brown sugar, 5 baby carrots, lots of pepper, a dash of allspice, about 5 dashes of cinnamon and white and green onions instead of sweet. I love how this came out and so does my boyriend!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
I LOVE cinnamon so I added about triple the amount of cinnamon. I also only used 1/8 cup of sugar. This is very good! I will defenitly make this many times again. I think I will take the sugar out completely because it was still a little too sweet for me.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Mmmm this recipe is great! I just found this recipe and I have made it twice in the last 3 days. All my friends and neighbors LOVE it! The only thing that I changed was I added a little bit of allspice and only added 1 teaspoon of cloves and 2 of cinnamon. I also made a glaze (just water, powdered sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg) to put on top of one of the loafs which was pretty good! Anyways...I love this recipe!
