I used the original recipe as a guideline and made into my own delicious dish! Let me know if you’d like the original recipe, I’d be more than happy to share. I'll add this recipe to my recipe box this week as well!

{ingredients}
Spaghetti noodles, enough to feed 4-6 people
1 pound uncooked ground turkey meat
1 can cooked kidney beans, rinsed and drained if canned
1 medium garlic clove, crushed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium zucchini, sliced
1 ½ cups mushrooms, sliced
1 small can tomato paste
1 ½ cans (14 oz each) canned tomatoes, whole, peeled and chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Italian spices/herbs, whatever you like to add to your pasta dishes to make them your own
½ green bell pepper, chopped
1 ½ cups shredded carrots
1 small can black olives, sliced
parmesan cheese, to top

{directions}
1. Combine turkey meat, beans, garlic, onion, zucchini, bell pepper, carrots and mushrooms and cook on high heat until meat is no longer pink. Break up meat with a fork during cooking.

2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, spices/herbs, salt and pepper to the meat mixture. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on medium-high heat.
3. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti noodles. Follow directions on box.
4. When meat sauce has thickened, spoon over cooked noodles and enjoy!

{prep time} 20 min
{cook time} 30 min
{servings} 4-6

{rating} 4: loved it | this has been added to my “go to” recipes when I just don’t know what to make for dinner

{when to make this} I made this as dinner to bring over to my KKG Little Sis, husband and new baby. It was perfect to feed them and give them leftovers for another night. I would make this again when having a group of people over or even take it to a potluck. You could also make this on a weeknight and freeze in single serving portions for the nights you’re too busy to cook dinner.

{note} be sure to use a big pan/pot when you make the meat sauce!

Looks great! I don't eat much pasta, but the sauce looks yummy and I like the idea of trying it with turkey. And your niece is adorable!!
