Colts vs Saints - Super Bowl Sunday!

The playoffs are over and the Colts and Saints are left standing. From the beginning of the season, I hoped that the Seahawks would make it to the Super Bowl (this happens at the beginning of every football season). Since they didn’t, Brett Favre was my fall back plan – doesn’t he seem like the nicest guy? Someone you could just go have a beer (or two) with? Unfortunately, that plan didn’t work out either. Even though neither of my teams made it to Miami this year, it will still be a great game and of course a great party!

Every year, my friends and I have the traditional Super Bowl party – with lots of apps and beer. This year, I’m letting the fans of the Facebook Page decide the menu that will be served on the 7th. So far, this is what we have:

APPETIZER #1: Brown Sugar Smokies vs Tasty Bacon Bites
WINNER: Brown Sugar Smokies

       WINNER: Yummy Roll Ups

WINNER: Seven Layer Taco Dip

DIP #2: Fabulous Football Dip or Hot Pizza Dip
WINNER: Fabulous Football Dip

CHILI: Wazzu Tailgate Chili or Boilermaker Tailgate Chili
WINNER: Wazzu Tailgate Chili

FOOD BAR: Potato Bar or Candy Bar
WINNER: Candy Bar

You can still vote and help create the menu! Check out the Facebook Page and vote today.

Boy Jen, you do not play around, the game is barely over and you are already on the Ball with the party!! I am with you on the appy's but not the beer:( I will stick to my ice tea!! Not a Teetotaler, just don't drink too often. I am with you on the smokies, I will try them this way too. Last year, I made a bunch of finger foods and they did not go over real well, they all tasted good mind you, I just had too many. So I am cutting back to just pizza, a big sub sammy, dip, chips,Dessert!!! have you tried the BBQ ranch dip? OMG. Heaven in a pie pan! Got any ideas for me on dessert? GO SAINTS!!!!!!! Mr.Obama likes the Saints too:) Fun Blog!! Adios Amiga.Patty

Hi Patty! For dessert I'm either going to do cookies or cupcakes (we'll see what the vote ends up being). But you could also do a candy bar or a cookie bar. For the candy bar, I usually grab some fun glasses (martini, wine, pint, empty-clean flower pots, etc) and fill them up w/all sorts of candy to people to pick out and satisfy their sweet tooth. For a cookie bar, you could just get sugar cookies (I would do store bought dough and make shapes) and put out frosting and different toppings-everyone could make their own! Maybe have a contest for the most creative cookie?

And no, I haven't tried the BBQ ranch dip - that is a must do!
