Swedish Meatballs (Svenska Kottbullar)

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2014
Very good recipe. There are a lot of steps to this meatball, but make sure you follow them because the end result is really worth it. I did make some slight changes I only had ground beef on hand and used that. Next I will use ground pork too, I am sure that could only make them better. I didn't add the ginger which was optional and used 1/4 cup of sour cream. This is a keeper, but for a weekend or holiday meal when you have more time to prepare.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2014
The crumb topping on this muffin makes it stand out above all the rest. I love that this receipe was so easy to make and my dinner guests loved this receipe they even asked for seconds. It's a great way to use bananas that are going bad.

No Fuss Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
I was looking for a recipe that used cornflakes (I was looking to free up some space in my cabinets) and found this quick and easy one. This dish turned out great, but I did make some adjustments. For the mayo mix, I used 1/2 cup of mayo, 1 tbsp mustard, 1/4 cup parmesan and 1/4-1/2 tsp garlic powder. After dipping the chicken in the mayo & cornflakes I sprinkled some seasoning salt put the chicken on a tinfoil lined cookie sheet that I lightly sprayed with cooking oil and baked at 400 for 20 minutes. Yummy. What I loved most is was a quick and yummy dinner that I had on the table in no time.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
This was a good moist chocolate cake. I did a nice glaze to drizzle on top, because I felt that frosting would be too much.

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
I changed this up, when I made it. Boo and hiss all you want, I'm still going to rate it and tell you what I did. :) I prepared the cake as directed, but I added 1/4 tsp coconut extract. For the cream of coconut mixture, I used 1/2 cup of cream of coconut and 1/2 cup of milk. I thought the condensed milk would make it too sweet. For the "frosting" 1 small tub of whipped topping, 1 3.5 oz instant vanilla pudding and1 cup of milk. Mix pudding and milk together, then fold in whipped topping. Then topped with coconut. I brought this to Easter dinner and my inlaws loved it. It was so moist and not overly sweet.

Country Apple Dumplings

My goodness this was SO good! The mountain dew is werid, but it's a must. It almost gives the butter mixture a caramel taste. Don't skip that step.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
I used a full cup of butter and these cookies are awesome. I have to admit this was my first attempt at baking oatmeal raisin cookies and I couldn't belive how good they are. Plus the scent of the cookies smells great while that are baking.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Fantastic. My sister said it tasted very close to the one at The Cheesecake Factory. I had to make an adjustment to the spices, because I didn't have nutmeg, I used 1 1/2 tsp of pumpkin spice, omitting the cinnamon and cloves, since all those ingredients are found in pumpkin spice. This recipe was so easy and the taste so creamy. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
I was really impressed with the taste of the sauce. It's so simple, but full of flavor. The chicken was very most, thanks to the mayo. What I like most is the ingredients are things I always have on hand.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
This is the BEST cabbage roll recipe I have ever made. I followed the ingredients, extactly. I also used the cool trick, that NANCYSELL123 suggested. It really does work. The secret to this great recipe is the sauce. I didn't cook in the slow cooker, instead I bake it at 350 for an 1hr and 1/2 with foil.

Crazy Cake

This is it! I have made lots of homemade cakes, but this is THE best one I have ever made! I followed the recipe as written and found the end result to be perfect. I'm still looking for a really good frosting recipe, but until then the store bought goes just fine. Thanks for posting a fantastic recipe!

Saucy Sauteed Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
This was SO good! I served this over pasta with garlic bread. It was so easy and it tasted like I spent hours in the kitchen. I used a 1/2 tsp of red pepper and omitted the parsley completely. I loved the balance of sweet from the sauce and spicy from the red pepper. It's a nice twist to the regular meatballs. Awesome!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
When my husband goes for seconds & tells me it's good then it's a automatic 5 star recipe. :) My hubby is an extremely picker eater so it can be a little trying to find recipes he likes. This was so easy and so good! I wasn't sure what to expect with using so few ingredients. The only change I made was using less pepper, 1 tsp seemed like a little too much, other then that I will be making this again. Thanks for sharing!

Porcupines

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
I have a recipe a lot like this one, but I tossed that one away, this is my new go to. I didn't have celery salt, so I used celery seeds instead 1/4 tsp. I did use 1/4 tsp of garlic powder, that was a little too much, so I will cut down next time. I halfed a green pepper and put it in the tomato sauce while it baked in the oven, that was a litttle trick from my other recipe. All and all it was really good and flavorful. Thanks for posting!

OREO® and Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
Perfect for a hot summer day! I have made this twice and each time this cake is gone within minutes after being served. It's so easy to make. I have used both a an ice cream topping and Hershey's syrup and each one I didn't have any problems. For a new twist on dessert I would highly recommend trying this one!

Veggie Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
I really liked the sour cream/cream cheese mixture that makes this dish stand out. I did change up the veggie combo, I used carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, caulflower and radishes all of which I diced. The zing of the radishes was perfect and I wasn't going to use them, but so glad I did.
