Started cooking around the age of 7. I was cooking on the stove (supervised of course!) before I could even reach it (I had a little step-stool!)
My favorite things to cook
Because I'm a busy person I like recipes that are simple, no-fuss and easy to follow. I like making desserts during the holidays as my family has a sweet tooth!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. My entire family gets together at my aunts and pitches in with the meal. A lot of fun and a lot of eating!

Baked Onion Dip II
This dip did taste good but I could only eat so much of it in one sitting. The onion flavor is great but I found the dip to be very heavy and rich overall. I served it with mixed crackers and multigrain tostitos. I also found that 45 minutes was too long to leave it in the oven for. Next time I will check it after 35 minutes. My oven does seem to cook hot though so I would just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get too brown.

Strawberry Yogurt Pie I
Had a nice, light strawberry flavor. Found that the pie was hard to cut and eat after taking it out of the freezer though, even after sitting out for a little while. I really don't think this pie really even needs to be frozen at all. Next time I will just make the filling, fill the pie shell and keep it in the fridge instead of the freezer. Has a fluffy texture that way instead of being hard as a bullet when frozen.

Lemon Icebox Pie III
Really good flavor. Thought the freshly squeezed lemon juice gave the pie a real zing! I didn't get the right texture with mine though so make sure you use an electric mixer (I don't own one) or it comes out lumpy. Mine was tasty just not as pretty to look at.
