Grandma's Noodles II

These were AMAZING in my chicken noodle soup. I folllowed the recipe except I did not wait/rest/dry them at all. I made the dough, then rolled and cut into noodles in one swoop. They were still perfect!

Healthier To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I would give them five stars if they were really "healthier." Now, that being said...leave off the topping and make them in "regular" sized cups yeilding 16 muffins: You have yourself a 100 calorie treat!

Sausage and Egg Casserole

We have backyard chickens...and always have eggs! to try something new, i put this together then froze it. (in the raw state.) Took it out of the freezer and baked it a month later from the frozen state. Excellent.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Excellent! I have made a pumpkin cheese cake using a diferrent recipe from this sight...A far more complicated recipe. Thie cheesecake is equally delicious and far far easier. I made my own graham cracker-pecan crust and used a springform pan. Perfect. 10 stars!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

The thing I like best about this recipe is that the loaf holds nicely together. It is nicely seasoned as well. Further, it is a great base to add more seasoning of your choice. It is a keeper.

Tangy Apple Chicken Loaf

I really liked the loaf. It had hints of Thanksgiving. I plan to make some to freeze. I ground my own chicken breasts. Next time I will also grind some thighs. (I normally do not buy the thighs, but think they will add moisture.) I only gave it 4 stars because my family did not like the sauce. They would have preferred a "gravy". A different sauce or gravy would have fared better.

Glazed Apple Cookies

I wouldn't bother. These were ONLY good for about three hours out of the oven. After they cooled, I plated them to bring to a party and covere loosely with plastic wrap. A few hours later they were mush and not edible.

I don't understand how these are so highly rated. I follewed the instructions and am an avid baker. They fall apart. The flavor are there but the chemistry is all wrong and will not hold together.

Easy Mushroom Rice

So easy and foolproof!! I tried this recipe when I had a large crop of porcini mushrooms. I followed it except I did use sauted fresh porcini's instead of the canned mushrooms. I loved that I could toss it in the oven and forget about it. My kind of rice, since I can BARELY make the bagged/boxed rice turn out! This recipe is a keeper and make a nice accompanyment to many meats.

Mushroom Rice

Easy and excellent. I made this with a bumper crop of porcini mushrooms that grow wild on our property. I sauted them slightly first...then completed the recipe as directed. I lovely side dish for a Sunday roast chicken.
