Scrambled Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
Fantastic! I used 8 eggs, green onions, 8 Morningstar Farms sausage patties (made it very meaty, could have just used 6) cheese, and cut a circle out of some day old onion buns to put in the bottom (this made 11 muffins for me). Baked for 20 minutes at 350 and they were perfect. So excited to have my breakfast for the next two weeks already made!

Amazingly easy. Best ganache recipe I've found, hands down.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
I loved these - I used Morningstar Farms "meat" crumbles, and it worked perfectly. I used some garlic and dried onions instead of the onion soup mix, and just a touch of garlic/jalapeno mustard, and sprinkled some cheddar cheese on top of the "meat" mixture, (only about 1/2 a cup) instead of mixing it in, and it was just right. Another users "butter sauce" for the topping was the perfect touch - I took off the top sheet of foil with 5 minutes left, brushed it on, and left the foil off, for the final 5 minutes. So good - thanks!

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
Fantastic! I recently went to a local Apple Fest, and when I saw them cooking big vats of apple butter over an open flame, I just had to try it myself. I found this easy recipe, and made some slight changes. I used 4 1/4 pounds of Jonagold apples, 2 cups of dark brown sugar, and one cup of white. I skipped the cloves, and used a bit more cinnamon, and a dash of nutmeg, and I sliced the apples, and left the skin on. I followed the cooking directions exactly, and pureed it in my blender when it was done, and it turned out perfectly - thanks so much for the recipe, Betty!

Beer Cheese Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
I made many changes, just to suit my own taste - I left out the celery and cauliflower, used half cheddar cheese, and half velveta, and used dijon mustard instead of mustard powder, and I was really pleased with how this came out! Thanks!

Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
I enjoyed this - I made it just as written, but the next time I make it (and there will be a next time!) I think I'll add chives or green onions for just a bit more flavor. A wonderful alternative to regular corn!

Dressing Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
I loved this! I don't eat meat, so I didn't add the poultry seasoning, and I used veg broth instead of turkey, but it was great! I liked that each bite had a bit of "crust" to it - so everyone, not just the first people to serve themselves, had that great "top layer" taste.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
I thought it was fabulous! I'm so surprised at the negative reviews. I didn't follow the recipe to a 't', but I made little changes to make it more our taste. A touch of mustard, butter crackers instead of breadcrumbs, I blended the cottage cheese first, but I did everything else as directed, and I adored this. My husband wished it was more "cheesy", and I'm thinking what I'll do next time to attempt that, but there will definitely be a next time - thanks!

Sausage Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
These were amazing! I used Morningstar Farms Veggie "Sausage" Crumbles instead of real meat, and it worked beautifully. I will make again for sure!
