Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
i made this cake for a family dinner. I added a package of chocolate pudding mix, as someone suggested, and melted the rest of the chocolate chips and drizzled them over the cooled cake. I kept it in a cake carrier and it stayed moist for several days. The only thing I will change next time is that I will make a sweet glaze to go on top because the cake itself isn't very sweet at all, and I will add almost the entire package of chocolate chips to the batter to sweeten it up.

Chicken Alfredo with Plum Tomatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
This recipe was a hit with my picky eaters (aged 5 and 2 yrs) and it was very quick to make. I was concerned about using the alfredo sauce from a jar, but i used the Bertolli brand and it was great. Next time I make this I will add some summer squash, zuchinni and a few sweet peppers.

Best One Pot Cheese and Macaroni

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
When I made this the sauce turned out gloppy and the pasta was underdone even though I used the kind suggested and cooked it for the recommended amount of time. It's a good thing I cut the recipe in half because my kids wouldn't eat more than a couple of bites.

Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This soup was delicious. The bratwurst added such a nice flavor. I told my picky eater "there's so many things in this soup you're sure to find something you like" and it worked!

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

This side dish/garnish stole the show. The only change I made was a bit of sesame oil.

Best Apple Crisp Ever

This reminded me a little of dumplings. I used all brown sugar and lots of extra cinnamon. I would make it again.

Pud's Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
I am calling this magic soup. It uses simple and inexpensive ingredients and is very filling but is low in fat. The real magic in this soup is how such simple ingredients create such full flavors. It tastes like it took loads of ingredients and hours of work to prepare. I made it exactly as the recipe was written and I wouldn't change a thing.

Spicy Unstuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2015
This was delicious. Even the kids liked it. I sliced the cabbage so it was long and thin and told them it was sort of like spaghetti.
