Steakhouse Grillers Prime Patty Melt

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
I thought this was a great, easy recipe- and I didn't feel as guilty using a garden burger for the patty melt. I followed the recipe pretty exactly, except I used Muenster cheese and a garden burger. Next time I may add Thousand Island dressing... Yum

Warm Mushroom Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
this is amazingly good- perhaps even better heated up later. I have found that I pretty much always have to make double the recipe. Have eaten on toasted baguettes, crackers, and topped steak and mashed potatoes with the spread. WOW

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
I really enjoyed this but my boyfriend LOVED it- we are at a bit of a disadvantage because we are landlocked, so we used frozen salmon- and we are salmon snobs (moved from the PacNW), and this recipe made it pretty darn decent- also pretty easy to make

Corn Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Seriously one of the best and freshest salads I've ever had- we tried to use most veggies straight from our garden and it was AMAZING. We paired with slow cooked bbq pork sandwiches and chips. A perfect summer meal...

Ratatouille Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
I love this recipe- we usually add as many fresh veggies straight from our garden and have always gotten lots of great results playing with different veg. I love to use stuffed tortolleni in the bake.

Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage-Brown Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
this required soooo much work that i probably won't make it again- we had a butternut squash given to us by my farming neighbor so wanted to do something special with it, but this took a couple of hours and i wasn't all that pleased with the results. folded these wonton style.

Sausage, Kale, and White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
so very good. used turkey kielbasa and just threw the kale in with everything else instead of precooking it separately. I took other's advice and sauteed the sausage with garlic and onions- I should have browned the sausage before adding the onions and garlic though. All in all, found this really easy and delicious. Loved that I could make it more healthy and will absolutely be making this again. Oh- added some soy, Worcestershire and hot sauce for flavor.

Tofu with Pork and Cashews

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2015
Unfortunately, I couldn't find oyster paste and the Asian market was closed. I added more garlic, ginger and chili paste. I used stir fry noodles (cooked before in sesame oil) and added at the very end. I ended up mixing in more cashews & green onions too- YUM!!! Took a bit longer than anticipated, but makes a lot and is delicious. Perfect heat for a cold winter night.
