Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2014
I left foil covering it for the first 20 minutes of baking. Removed from oven when top was dry yet still soft. Let sit to cool 5 minutes before serving. No caramel sauce...it was sweet as is and we didn't need sauce or syrup. Excellent! Thanks for making this for us Aunt Carol!

Mascarpone Stuffed French Toast with Peaches

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
Five star breakfast made at home! Thanks contributer for the recipe. I have bought mascarpone before for making tiramisu and I never would have thought to use it in french toast. I used canned peaches but will make it in the summer with fresh. I used cinnamon bread from the bakery and spread the cream on the slices and even put the peaches inside the 2 slices. Thank you!

Cinnamon, Spice and Everything Nice Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2013
Made 8 kinds of Christmas cookies this December, by far these were my favorite. I could eat them all day long! Only change I made was using cinnamon instead of the ginger and nutmeg. Everyone said these were addictive! I love Hershey's Cinnamon Chips!

Overnight Ham and Cheese Omelet

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
Made this on Christmas Eve and baked in the morning. The only thing I'd change is using less bread next time. I used 3 large, firm steak rolls and it was too much.

World's Best Maine Whoopie Pies - Ayuh

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
Hopefully the previous poor reviews won't keep folks away from trying this recipe. Mine turned out wonderfully! It does take some time to bake all the cookies, but then just have the kids or grandkids match sizes together. The filling was a cinch...just make sure you don't start it at high right away or you'll have milk flying everywhere! You'll notice it's runny in the beginning but as it mixes, just speed it up and after a few minutes it turns into a beautiful white fluff!!! I've grown up around Whoopie Pies and Shoofly pie, living here in the PA Dutch area, and I'm very picky, and this recipe ranks up there with Mom's whoopie pie recipe. I had always wanted to try a filling made with marshmallow creme. I skipped the wrapping and freezing part, as these will all be eaten this week. Thanks Teresa! Until finding your recipe, I didn't know whoopie pies were even made in Maine. Thought only us in PA ate them!

Chilled Strawberry Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
I doubled the recipe and and used fresh strawberries insterad of frozen. I had to add extra Splenda probably because the fresh berries don't have added sweetners like frozen. Too chill quickly, I put in the freezer, and served to family. All 7 adults loved it paired with mexican entree.

Crispy Mashed Potato Pancake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
Not the outstanding flavor of the potato cakes I order at the local diner, but easy enough so I might make again. Loved the crispy edges! I added parsley and chives.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
These will be a cute addition to the cookie tray. Followed exactly and they turned out great. Wasn't sure about not greasing the tins but it wasn't a problem. I used my small Pampered Chef scoop and it made 55 cookies.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
It went over well at parties I took it to, but I thought it was expensive to make, and next time I'm hungry for it I'll probably try buying it at the store in the frozen section or premade from Costco. I didn't think it was as good as the appetizers I've bought at restaurants. But if you do want to make it yourself, shop around for the artichokes and then it won't be as pricey.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
I give 4 stars because I attribute it to me probably doing something wrong with the dough, but these weren't all that good. I've always enjoyed making pretzel rolls for homemade sandwiches, but these didn't have the awesome taste of mall pretzels that I was hoping for. They were rubbery tasting, so I really think I did something incorrect, like maybe the dough didn't rise enough.

Lemon Cream Torte

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
This was superb! I liked the fact that is used less of the ingredients compared to the similar recipe on this site, therefore it wasn't too much for our group of 6 adults.

I think it was the sour cream that made it not good for me. I really wanted to like this, but I won't be making it again.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
This tastes better than the honey wheat bread you pay 4.00 a loaf for at the store. I added the salt to the water and put the dry milk next to the yeast per my machine's manual. Loved by the whole family!

Taco Seasoning I

Good but too spicy for me, next time I'll cut down on the chili pepper and red pepper. I used 2 lbs of ground beef and doubled the seasoning recipe.
