Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
These are my favorite to make as bar cookies. They are a staple at get togethers I attend, and usually a friend brings her amazing home made frosting for sandwich cookies. Thank goodness we only get together every few months!!! ;)

Old-Fashioned Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
What a cute story!! These are delicious, and so easy...I'm always tampering with recipes and adding different seasoning, and aside from the salt, I subbed a little Mrs. Dash table blend for the black pepper, used 1/2c American, 1/2c mild cheddar, and 1/2 Italian blend cheeses b/c that's what I had...WOW! The extra flavor from the parm and asiago in the Italian blend was awesome!! Thanks for such a great recipe!!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
I'm not sure mine turned out right, it wasn't fluffy. But I was pretty impatient after I tasted the chocolate/cream mixture. So, pretty positive that the chocolate just wasn't cooled down enough to be added to the whipped cream...lol...but it's still AMAZING!!! :)

Basil Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
This is my favorite pork recipe! It's so easy to throw together and the results are wonderful! Thank you Lisa for such a yummy recipe! The only thing I've changed is to add a dash or two of garlic powder to the rub and omit the chili powder b/c of the little ones. A tip I learned the first time I made these is to do all the chops at once if you can. The sugar will burn if it sets on the heat too long...lol...

Chocolate Press Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
These are awesome! Of course, like with all recipes, I've tweaked it. I forgot to add the salt first off..lol....I went to measure the cocoa powder and it slipped out of my hand, and dumped about 1/2c. into the mixing bowl...to comp that, I added an extra 1/2tsp of vanilla and a splash or two more milk. They are chewy and gooey!!! SO yummy! :)

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
I have made this for years, since college. I use the 5pk Johnsonville sweet Italian links, 1 jar of traditional sauce, 1 green pepper, 1 yellow, and 1 red, and a medium onion. The extra peppers just give it a rounder flavor. I serve them on crusty rolls, cut up and over pasta, or plain. They're so good, I never had leftovers or complaints! :)

World's Best Lasagna

This is my favorite lasagna.....I've made some shortcuts buying sauce and just adding the meat....but it's definitely the best I've ever tried from scratch.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
I made a batch of these for my dad's birthday...they didn't last long at all-only about 14 people had come, and we only had a few squares left! The eggs really make these, the fudgey-ness is what keeps my family asking me to make them!

Buttercream Icing

This is perfect! I did use all butter instead of shortening, just because I like the texture the butter gives it. It fluffs wonderfully and sets great on cookies!

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
This bread is delicious! It's good with or without the glaze, and doesn't need adapting! I do tend to go heavy on the berries and a little extra lemon, but I seriously can't get enough of this bread!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this dough! I use it for last minute pizza, rolls, and breadsticks....it's so smooth and yummy! I brush melted butter with a little garlic salt in it on top after they're all done baking, and around the crust. It soaks in and just finishes off a great meal!
