Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
This had a LOT of sausage in it even after doubling the flour and milk, but that's not necessarily a bad thing!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
The texture was pretty good and it came out moist, but it was far too sweet to be cornbread.

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
Well, the crust was absolutely delicious! Substituted pecans for the hazelnuts, threw those and the gingersnaps in the food processor, and it turned out perfect. I also sprinkled extra crust bits on the top--fantastic!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
The best thing I've ever made. I made a gingersnap-pecan crust, sprinkled extra crust bits over the top, and drizzled on a caramel sauce. Absolutely delicious!

Tofu Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
Like many other reviewers I had to add extra ingredients to give it more zing, and it needed a LOT more sauce. Luckily I had more in the house! It had a strong tofu flavor but was still very good.

Tasty Tuna Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
We ran out of breadcrumbs so we didn't use the full amount listed--and boy were we lucky! These were barely edible; it was like eating a bread sandwich. The consistency was fine, but I had a hard time finding any tuna flavor amidst the bread.

Cornucopia

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
It's a neat idea and didn't turn out too bad, but it was a mess trying to get it to hold together. I couldn't get the opening big enough and while it was baking I kept having to check on it to fix the pieces that slid off. I probably won't bother with this again.

Loukoumades

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
We used wheat flour because that's all we had, and they came out great. Very delicious.

Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I followed the directions exactly and it never set. Regardless of that, it tasted amazing (although it did have a slightly overpowering marshmallow taste). I decided to use the Easy Sugar Cookie recipe from this site with my not-quite-fudge as a filling. Absolutely amazing!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
My first pumpkin roll and it turned out pretty nicely. The roll wasn't too sweet, which made it perfect with the sweet filling. It was very thick and ended up being difficult to roll and cracking a little, so next time I will try a larger pan. I will definitely make this again.

No Bake Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
My boyfriend had always wondered about the secret of his aunt's cheesecake recipe, and when we tried this he realized what it was: no bake cheesecake! He said this tasted just like it and thought it amazing. I thought it was pretty good.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
My friend made this as is and I had a slice, which I had to force myself through. The texture was fine and it was edible but it was SO bland. I barely tasted anything at all in it.

Deep Dish Alfredo Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
We did use a different crust, but regardless the sauce would make up for anything! This was so amazing and we've made it several times already. The sauce is runny and made our slices difficult to eat, so it is easier to wait a while to let it solidify. Leftovers were delicious. It also made a LOT of sauce (since we didn't make it deep dish), but I would never cut this recipe down because I would gladly use the remaining sauce on some pasta, or even just eat it by itself!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
My boyfriend and I both thought this was decent, but very odd tasting. Something about the mixture of flavors seemed off to us.

Raspberry Custard Kuchen

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
I've made this twice now and it's been excellent both times. I always use strawberries because I'm not a raspberry fan, and I might branch out into other varieties as well!

Greek Saganaki

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
My Greek boyfriend and I decided to make this (with feta, as we didn't have kasseri on hand) and he enjoyed it. I thought it was fairly good.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
When I first made these we didn't have buttermilk so I used milk and lemon juice, and they were PHENOMENAL. The lightest and fluffiest pancakes I have ever eaten, and the only pancakes I have ever liked cold and plain--they were just as good as when warm! The second time I used buttermilk and they didn't come out as nicely, but they were still amazing regardless.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
The first time I made these they came out absolutely perfect and stayed soft and delicious for many days. The second time they were too buttery, so I'll make sure to watch the butter next time (and there will be many next times!)

Snickerdoodles are my favorite cookie and these came out perfect as is! Didn't last more than a day.
