Ciabatta Bread

You need to use more yeast like 2&1/4 teaspoon yeast (one packet) and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Part of the reason this bread doesn't get the full rise is because it doesn't use a starter which traditional ciabatta does; so you just needed a little more yeast. Also use some seasonings! You aren't making a sour loaf so try using garlic or rosemary. And if you want an even better crust, drop two ice cubes into the oven every 10 minutes rather than spraying down the bread. All-in-all it's a pretty good recipe for a basic bread.

Spiced Pears and Pomegranate

Good recipe... but here's a helpful hint for removing the seeds! First cut the Pomegranate into quarters and then soak the quarters in cold water for 10-15 minutes. After soaking start breaking the seeds and flesh apart from each other and into the water. The seeds will sink to the bottom of the water and the flesh/membrane will float.So then you just have to remove the membrane and drain the water and you have a quick and stainless way of removing seeds! Enjoy!
