Fantasio Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
This recipe really needs to be doubled for the 9x13 pan, or use a smaller pan (especially to look like the photo)! Other than that, it is so much better than the Magic Cookie bars mentioned in another rating. I will make this again!

Grandma's Chocolate Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Very good taste, but this is definitely not a brownie (cake texture). Also, next time I will bake it in a 9x13 pan since I would prefer a thicker "cake."

Company Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
Waaayyyy too many apples! If I ever made this salad again I would add my own combination of fruit and use the dressing which is very good. (I chuckle when I read reviews where nearly everything is changed - and here I am doing it, too!) So, in other words, I would not make this salad again but would use the dressing recipe! The stars are for the dressing....

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
The meat was very tender and quite good EXCEPT for the very sweet flavor. If I make this again, I would absolutely NOT add sugar. I added potatoes and carrots part way through the cooking. It was just an "okay" recipe.

Nitey Night Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Very easy to make, yummy to eat! I did preheat the oven to 425 (and then turned it off) as one person suggested (I think 350 would not be hot enough). I added a few chocolate chips and also some white chocolate chips that I had on hand and no nuts. My mom made these for me when I was growing up - it was fun to taste them again!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Very tasty. I made 1/2 recipe using 1 bag of prepackaged spinach and mixed lettuce for 6 people which was plenty and used only a small portion of the dressing (the dressing recipe is WAY too much for even a full recipe of salad). Do not use butter when toasting the almonds! I followed the recipe and did use butter which only made the almonds greasy and added calories. I would have given it 5 stars except for the greasy almonds and tons of leftover dressing! My guests liked it.

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Very good. I used 1 pint ricotta and 1 pint cottage cheese and precooked frozen chicken pieces. Will only make for special occasions as it is time consuming and has way too many calories (which is why I gave it only 3 stars). My guests liked it.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
I agree with SSDolecki and Monica reviews: the filling was WAY too runny (cake layers kept sliding around, etc.). The 2 stars are for the yummy taste only. I will definitely not make this again (and I am known as a good baker). Mascarpone is Very expensive; I would advise using cream cheese instead for anyone trying this recipe.

Easy Guacamole

Too much onion and too strong lime taste! My husband didn't like it either. Will not make again.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Maybe my mistake was using Splenda instead of real sugar! Strange texture, too flat, but good frosting. I'll save the frosting recipe and not make this brownie again.

Old-Fashioned Scalloped Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This recipe is runny and flavorless. I agree with other reviews that it tasted like plain old creamed corn out of the can. I would not make it again.
