Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
Excellent and easy to make. The filling isn't much different from a recipe I've used in the past, but with some differences. What really makes this recipe great is the wet sauce, which is very tasty without being too spicy. As a single man cooking for myself this recipe created plenty of extra for leftovers and they reheat just fine, too.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Brining a turkey in the fridge is a bit cumbersome, even for a small (14lb) bird. We used a large ice chest with combined water and ice. By morning some of the ice was still unmelted. The process resulted in a very moist and tender turkey.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
This is nearly identical to a recipe that my mom has used for years and has always been a favorite. Instead of PB cups she's always pressed in a Hersheys kiss and they were called "Peanut Blossoms." Either way, they're terrific. Make extra because they go fast.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
Very good and very easy to make. Excellent flavor using minimal ingredients. I took off a star only because of too much olive oil; I ended up dipping off the excess before serving.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
Excellent recipe...I often wonder why the best recipes seem to be the simple ones...a full batch makes too much for just the two of us so we have leftovers and it reheats very well...toss in some heated broccoli florets for an added healthy touch

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
Four starts for the quality plus a bonus star for ease of preparation! I found it works better by drizzling ALL the butter on the sprouts in step 3 and then mixing the dry ingredients with no butter in step 4 before sprinkling over the sprouts, followed by a light tossing before placing under the broiler. Very tasty.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I did this as my first attempt at a whole bird in 2008 and it was absolutely perfect. Aside from adding a foil tent I used this recipe straight up. Very easy to prep. The outcome was a delicious, moist turkey that wasn't overpowered by the seasoning.
