About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I'm a baker. I will try anything once.Pies, cookies, bars, cakes. Something about it is so theraputic and relaxing. I'm also en route to learning how to make the perfect guacamole!
My cooking triumphs
All my life since I was a baby I remember watching my mom cook. She was the center of all our family get togethers. She NEVER once used a store bought or packaged pie crust. Im 25 now, and I think after watching her and the numerous efforts i've made, I finally got it down pat!! It's more of an art than you would think, but it sure is awesome to take a pie out of the oven and see that perfectly shaped golden brown and flaky pie crust!

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese
In my opinion, it was terrible. This doesn't happen too often in my experiences at I followed the recipe exactly and everything about it was wrong, I wouldn't even call this mac and cheese. Just a cheap quick sauce with some cheddar thrown in, no flavor whatsoever. I even used real sharp cheddar in block form that I shredded myself (the expensive kind.) Kielbasa deserves better. Won't be making again

Spinach Dip I
This was ok, your typical party style spinach dip. Had a sort of fake chemical taste to it if that makes any sense. I think there are probly far better recipes of this type out there.

Barbeque Style Braised Short Ribs
I thought this was great. Reminded me of good ol home cookin, really rich and hearty in flavor. Awesome with mashed potatoes. My husband wasn't a fan, but he'll eat anything except pot roast ( and this was very much reminiscent of pot roast so I guess thats why.) I used 3.5 lbs country stlye short ribs and kept the rest of the ingredients the same. Seared/browned the ribs on all sides, then threw in the crockpot on low for about 7 hours. I'd make again!!
