I was raised on the beach, moved to the Ozarks with the airlines, "retired" from maintenance to "farmgirl" Had milk goats, chickens, horses etc. Then on to commercial beekeepers. Took heavy financial hit from the virus. Had to sell all and recouping the business in Florida-back home for both of us and closer to family. But God is good all the time.
My favorite things to cook
I love to work with fresh food and to cook from scratch. I love experimenting to make recipes healthier and to kick them up a notch with fresh herbs etc. I wish I was a better gardener. (and cook) Would love to grow my own everything. I did love learning to make cheese and soap etc with the products from the farm.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I wish I had more. Just love being with family over a full table of food.Would love to cook for the needy.
My cooking triumphs
Edible cheese!!!! My next challenge -always- is trying to get my niece to eat and eat good-she has Crohns and doesnt take care of herself (16yrs old)and my nephew is a TV and carboholic-heading for obesity and its challenges.
My cooking tragedies
Many. But my husband is such a trooper. My presentation is not so good but most is edible. The rest of my family are horrible eaters and make fun of me and say Im weird and make weird dishes (fresh and not from a package)
