Spinach Basil Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This salad is awesome! I even made it as a side for Christmas dinner. It's very colorful and pretty, as well as delicious. If there is any left over (and don't count on that happening often) it makes a great lunch.

Dan's Favorite Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
My husband always complains that it takes too long for me to make everything, because I insist on starting from scratch. He took it all back when he got one of these for lunch, served on Belle's Hamburger Buns (also from this site). He said it was the best sandwich he ever had. I used muenster cheese because that's what I had, but I am looking forward to using Swiss on the next rendition. Amazing sandwich.

Light Wheat Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
These rolls are fabulous! They are very light, and very tasty. I decrease the oven temperature to 350 for a loaf (it makes 2), and bake for 23-27 minutes. For hamburger buns, shape into a baker's dozen (I like them big!), flatten slightly, 20 minute rise, then bake at 380 for 10-12 minutes. One of my very favorite recipes.

Belle's Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
What a great recipe! I ended having to brush them with melted butter instead of an egg yolk, and they were still fabulous. Made for a very tasty start to a sandwich!

Famous Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
This chicken was very good; I took the suggestions to coat in flour, then egg, then flour again, and also to add some corn starch to the sauce. Rich and delicious, and very moist chicken.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
I was very pleased with this chicken. It wasn't too spicy for my husband, which is usually an issue with Indian food. It was great over rice, with naan bread.

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
My family loved them! I added another 1/2 cup milk per other reviews, and the only other change is that I didn't grease my pan. They were perfect. I thought 2 Tbs vanilla would be a bit too much, but I was wrong, it's just right!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
My husband can't say enough about these cookies. Fabulous! I took the suggestions not to grease the sheet, and they still came off very easily.

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
These are so much better than any tortillas I've ever had! My boys like to eat them plain, or made into "Mexican pizzas." I make them into about 16 tortillas instead of 24. They are bigger and thicker that way.

Grandma's Polish Perogies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Amazing!! I added some onion and bacon to the mix, and otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Couldn't ask for better. My husband actually forgot what he was talking about, and stopped eating to tell me it was the best thing he ever tasted. I can't wait to try them with spinach and feta, then rosemary and garlic, and who knows from there. Great recipe. Thanks Steph!

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I love this pizza dough. It's always a hit, fluffy and delicious. The only changes I make are to add a touch more flour, but no more than the you would expect with a dough recipe, and also I bake it at 400. Amazing!

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I love this rice! It's foolproof, and it also reheats well. The flavor is perfect, and it's always moist. The only changed I make include covering the rice while it bakes, and also I use all chicken broth, and reconstitute it from a chicken base. I use about 3 cups of water and 2 1/2 tsp of the base (instead of 3). This cuts down on the saltiness some reviewers complain of. My toddler practically shoves his face in it.

Scrumptious Seafood Linguine

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
LOVED IT! I used scallops in place of the crab meat (just roll them in flour and cook in butter) and it was fantastic. Also, I sautéed mushrooms with the garlic. My husband was so pleased, he volunteered to do all the cleanup. Mmm! Thanks Jenni!
