For my family this year I am making special desserts for their birthdays, in January I made my first red velvet cheesecake. I had never used a spring form pan so that was a purchase I wasn't expecting but now I am certain I will be making more cheesecake in the future. I also made an apple pie & a butterscotch pie. Feb I made blackberry dumplings for the first time. March I am making for my first time a Boston Cream Pie & a Strawberry pie using lard to prepare the pie crust. 2014 has already been a yr of first times in baking. I intend to teach myself how to crochet also :) ---
