I was a bit skeptical only because I've unfortunately become accustomed to the salty, store-bought taco seasoning. But boy am I glad I decided to try this! It was very good! I read some reviews and followed these suggestions; omitted the black pepper, used 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper in place of crushed red pepper, added 1 tsp. corn starch, and added 1/2 tsp. of beef bouillon paste during the simmering process. I used 3/4 to 1 cup water and it was too much. Next time, I will use 2/3 cup. It's a wonderful taco seasoning without all of the unnecesssary salt!
