Fruity Fun Skewers
Great idea! Pretty much any fruit will do- pick your favorites! I don't like apples with other fruit for some reason and I avoided bananas because they brown. I bought strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, pineapple and kiwi all from Costco. Love the picture with them skewered transitioning from purple to green color-wise! This is what I did, and then displayed them by sticking the skewers into the outside of half of a watermelon. It made a great presentation at the bridal shower I threw!

Uglies
This is a pretty good, basic recipe with a fun concept. Personally, they were a little too sweet for my preference and a little lacking in other flavors. I am sure the BBQ sauce can make a huge difference in how these turn out though. I thought my husband would like them since he tends to like "child friendly" foods, but he was pretty indifferent. I will probably try this recipe again with some modifications to personalize it to our tastes.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
YUM-MY! These are my husband's favorite cookies, and I have made them several times now. I have yet to justify buying cream of tartar just for this recipe, but have replaced it with equal parts white vinegar with great results. (Although I heard that baking powder is baking soda and cream of tartar, so you can use it instead to replace BOTH ingredients?) Other than that, I have followed this recipe exactly. I pull the cookies out at 8 minutes. They're cooked all the way through, but still have a great doughy taste!
