This is my first review of a recipe, but it was so good, I just had to! I made this today and made my own version of it. I had some ham that I sauteed in some olive oil in my stock pot. I then added some potatoes and the water. Once the potatoes were done, I put the chicken bouillon powder, one small can of milk and some of the cooked potatoes in my blender and blended them up, poured them back in my pot and let it thicken. (I substituted some pureed potatoes instead of adding the flour.) I then added black pepper. I try not to eat a lot of sodium and didn't feel like it needed more salt. I also didn't have the celery but it turned out great.Oh my goodness, it was delicious. Next time I'm going to top with some sour cream or cheese as someone else suggested. This is going to be a staple this winter for those very cold days. I did serve it with garlic toast!
