Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2015
Our sausage around here comes in 16oz (1pound) packages other than that I followed the recipe exactly as written and it turned out fantastic. I didn't have biscuits nor did I feel like making them from scratch so I cheated and spooned the gravy mixture over toast. I thought it was good.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
These are very good. I followed the recipe exactly. I was looking for a recipe where I didn't have to make dough with shortening or butter. This is about as EZ as it gets. I had shredded cheddar cheese right next to my bowl and forgot to add it..:-( Oh well there's always next time. Topped with butter when they came out...YUM!

Aaron's Missouri Burger

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
I didn't like this too much. It reminded me of that "sweet meat" heaped on a bed of rice we had to eat in JAIL back in the day. Making a burger from the written recipe is impossible.

Bacon Risotto

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
Awesome. Took 20 min or so to absorb all the broth but was worth the wait. I used chicken broth not stock. The description said to put a "raw" egg yolk on the risotto when served, however, I elected to fry my egg in the bacon grease then plopped it on top and is was delicious! Highly recommend this recipe.

Deer Jerky

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
Made this the other day...taste just like Wild Bills beef jerky. I used the oven method, my oven will only go down to 170 so I hung all my pieces from toothpicks on the top rack (pain in the butt plus knees and back were on fire..lol)covered bottom rack with foil then left the oven door cracked open a few inches with a little fan helping to circulate the air. Started it at 10 pm and it was perfect at 6 am. BEST recipe ever....however next time I'll add more black pepper. Thanks!

Yummy Lemon Salmon Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I wish people would stop being wuss's. All the bones and skin in the salmon is where all the flavor is, leave it in there. This is a great recipe I've been making it this way for many years. I like putting some butter in my oil too it adds great flavor...who cares about fat you only live once so you might as well eat the tastiest food you can while on this planet. Good recipe give it a try.

Oyster Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Very good recipe! Love it! I used canned oysters it was still awesome. If you're going to alter the recipe and make it YOUR way don't bother leaving a review because you are not reviewing the authors recipe you're reviewing YOUR VERSION.

My Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
This is a good starter recipe. I give it 4 stars because I had to add an extra can of beans and 3T of chili powder instead of 2 cuz it was bland with just 2. I also added a little black powder and a little cayenne to spice it up a bit. I rate my version 4.5-4.9

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
This is an awesome recipe. I got my G/F to eat fish FINALLY and she LOVED it!!! She would always say, "I'm not eating fish, fish is nasty!" Well I got her to eat salmon patties last week and now this awesome recipe and it's changed her tune about fish!! If you have someone who's scared to eat fish make them try this it may change their tune as well. Thank You, Phoebe!!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
im making these tonight, AGAIN! dont skimp on leaving them in the fridge the entire time..its the key to a crispy outer shell. i like my wings HOT and the sauce recipe falls short of what i like. i use franks extra hot sauce and add a drop or two of daves insanity sauce. i've tried perfecting my wings for many years but never quite got the results i was looking for until i tried it this way. you cant go wrong with this recipe. this is even better than marinating your wings in buttermilk imo. 5 stars.
