Don't know if something is missing in the recipe but it sure tasted like it. Followed exactly as printed and the sauce is just too concentrated. Wasted healthy ingredients by using the soup, definitely won't make again.

Chocolate chip cookies are my absolute favorite and I've been baking for 30 yrs. I love a thicker consistency, not a flat cookie, so was excited to try this recipe after reading so many great reviews. While the ingredients are the same as my favorite CCC recipe, the amounts vary. These were just "ok" to me. As stated in the recipe name, these were big and fat, they didn't flatten like a cow patty. The problem I had was that they were either undercooked in the center so needed to be returned to the oven or baked for a minute or two longer, after which they became too crisp for my liking. I played with the baking time with each batch that went in the oven and still had to add a slice of bread to my cookie jar overnight to soften them up. They lacked in flavor, probably due to less butter and salt, which is a must for a good tasting cookie. My suggestion to anyone trying to find their perfect cookie is to take a good base recipe as this one and tweak the ingredients until you find the taste and consistency you like.
