Sausage Stuffing Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
This is great and very easy to modify. I already made twice. I made my own pork sausage, used bread crumbs, didn't add water but about a tbsp of olive oil, some lightly toasted chopped pine nuts one time and grated feta cheese another. One time used the onion and celery and one time didn't. Added various spices and forgot the baking powder one time and they still came out great. Thanks so much. Everyone loved these.

Hot Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
This was a great recipe. I had the butcher at our local market grind the pork for me so I knew there was little fat. Very versatile recipe. Yum.

Pork and Cabbage with Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
What a great recipe. I did make some changes just because of what I had on hand. I sauteed a leek and shallot in a little olive oil, sherry, salt and pepper. Then added shredded cabbage and sun dried tomatoes in a little oil and cooked until soft. I set that aside and had made my own hot pork sausage and crumbled and browned that in the pan. When done I added the cabbage mixture and mixed together. Added to cooked spaghetti and voila. Everyone loved it.

Panettone Bread Pudding with Spiced Orange Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Made this for New Year's Brunch and it was delish. Everyone loved it. I put a few coins in for good luck (told everyone of course). Doesn't really need the sauce but it is a yummy touch.

Zippy Summer Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Everyone loved these. I made a marinaded with the shells on for about an hour and added cilantro, fresh thai basil from the garden and a few sprigs of fresh curry herb plant. I grilled them on indirect heat until almost cooked and them put on direct flame for less than a minute on each side and they came out wonderful. Thanks for the recipes.

Beer Burgers

These were really tasty. I overcooked a bit but they still came out savory. I added a few dashes of cayenne and paprika. Everyone loved them.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Made these and got rave reviews. I ran out of soy sauce so used a little more worsteshire, added a little panko bread crumbs and a couple dahses of cayenne for heat. I also didn't have any green chiles or ginger but it came out great. I have a curry herb plant and I added a few sprigs of that. Yum.

Midnight Gingersnaps

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
These cookies were a little too rich with butter for my taste. I liked the spice but I would prefer more "snap" to my gingersnaps. Thanks for the recipe though.

I tried these and they were a big hit at my party. I basted with olive oil instead of butter and they came out crispy and fine.

Just like my grandmother used to make. Love that it's not too sweet and nice and crisp.
