Seven Layer Dip II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
Everyone I make this for raves about it. I do add one jar of mild salsa to the beans and cook over low heat prior to placing them in the can. I do one have with black olives and one without. I love olives, but not everyone does. It is always a big hit!

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
This received the Anderson Family stamp of approval! OMG is was so yummy. I wanted to try it prior to Christmas and test it on my family. We live overseas and the only thing different was I used their equal to heavy cream (Crema de Leche). IT WAS WONDERFUL! My mom is here visiting and she wanted to know what I did. She said it was WAY better than the creme corn in the can that she grew up on!! AWESOME.

Caramelized French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
Very good French Toast recipe. I would change a few things next time. I would use less eggs 6 really is not necessary. I would add cinnamon to the egg mixture. I also added boiling water to the brown sugar mix (got this from a fellow reviewer). I did add cinnamon at this point. Very good. My hubby told me to make sure I add this to the recipe box. I will make this again.

Cornbread Stuffing With Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I mixed two cornbread stuffing recipes I found on here. I omitted the bread crumbs and made to bags of cornbread. I added sugar, 2tsp of sage and pepper to the cornbread mix prior to cooking, I used a chicken boullion cube since I live overseas and we do not have poultry season. I baked it all together and let it sit overnight. I mixed in 1 cup each of celery and onion and cooked it with my ground sausage. It was perfect. This was my first time making this recipe and it was soooo yummy!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Made this tonight for dinner and it was a hit. I used croutons that my husband smashed for me mixed with Ritz Crackers for my bread crumbs. I live overseas and was unable to find bread crumbs. I added garlic and pepper to the bread crumbs, parmesan cheese mixture. I also seasoned my chicken prior to coating with the egg. As another person stated one egg would have been sufficient as I ended up throwing egg away. I too used Mozzarella Cheese instead of the Monterey Jack and sided with whole wheat pasta. I used about a jar and a half of regular ole ragu....after taking out the oven i sprinked shredded parmesan across the chicken. It was FABULOUS and easy. I have made eggplant parmesan and this was my first experience with chicken parmesan and I will be making this again.
