Miso Soup
My family loves miso soup. We're lucky enough to have a great Asian grocery very nearby, so I buy red miso paste - dashi type, to combine the dashi stock and miso in one step. Also, for us, miso soup isn't complete with seaweed. Look for dried wakame and add only a pinch or two.

Asian Pork Tenderloin
Tender and tasty. Best pork recipe I've had. I keep marinade ingredients exactly as written but also add 1 tsp minced ginger. I tried cooking this at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and the marinade has always burned terribly -- super smelly kitchen, but very tasty, tender pork. Next time I'll try 325 degrees for longer as suggested. Or just roast the tenderloin without the marinade. d

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
I really wanted to love this but thought it was only OK after following the recipe exactly as written. The meatballs were a bit doughy and tasteless. I'd half the breadcrumbs and add 1/2 cup diced onion and 2 cloves minced fresh garlic. Also, perhaps 1 tsp italian seasoning. The sauce was almost a bit too thick and sweet. I'd forego the tomato paste and substitute with a can of tomato sauce so that there is plenty of sauce for the pasta. I'd also hold off on the sugar until the sauce is cooked down and add only if you find the sauce to tangy.
