Spinach, Red Lentil, and Bean Curry
This is a really good hearty vegetarian meal. I cut down the lentils to about 3/4 cup, used vanilla yogurt because it was all I had, double garlic, double spice, a little salt and added water to thin out the consistency. It's quite thick. I ate it on top of a piece of garlic naan and it was delicious.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
My little brother requested spaghetti and meatballs for his birthday dinner. He is much younger than me (9) and like most little kids picky but this was a hit and even my little sister (10) who won't eat anything had seconds of the meatballs. The recipe appealed to the adults to getting the stamp of approval from my roommate who works as a chef in an upscale restaurant in my town. I did make a few changes though. Instead of whole tomatoes I used diced, I used 8 garlic cloves, I added all the spices right away, I left out the bay leaf as I had forgotten to pick some up. I used about 2 tbsp of pepper, as well as cayenne pepper. Basil was fresh from my wonderful little herb garden. After simmering for 90 minutes I took a suggestion from below and blended about half of the sauce in the blender to smooth it out. After doing this there was no need for tomato paste as it was quite thick already. Very good!
