Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
I have made these twice now. From others advice, I used only about 4 cups of flour and the dough turned out nicely. I also used my kitchen aid mixer and dough hook to mix the dough. Make sure you roll the dough very long and thin, they puffed up quite a bit during baking.

Avocado-Corn Salad with Creamy Salsa Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
Good, but not quite enough flavor. I ended up adding some seasonings and extra cheese to punch it up a bit.

Fun and easy to make! I like to add a bit of triple sec to the recipe.

Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
This did not turn out well for me. My cake sunk just before coming out of oven. Perhaps because I checked on it too early that I disturbed it. However, I don't like cakes that are that finicky. Subsequently the cake was heavy and dense. The chocolate chips sunk to the bottom of the cake also. I used regular sized chips, so I would advise anyone making the cake to try mini chips instead. The cake had a nice flavor (chocolate chip cookie like). I probably won't try this one again.

Tiger Butter II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
whoa...yum. Easy to make and very delicious. I think much better tasting than fudge, but I am not really a fudge person. I put mine into a 9x13 inch pan, but I think next time I might use a slightly smaller pan to make it a bit thicker. I chilled mine and then just flipped it right out of the pan onto a cutting board. I used a hot knife to help get clean cuts. For those who thought it was overly sweet, I would recommend using good quality bittersweet chocolate. Ghiradelli is easy to find in your grocery store.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Easiest recipe ever! I shredded the chicken when it was done and threw it back into the cooker. There was a lot of sauce, so I left the lid off and reduced it a bit. I think next time I might throw in a couple more chicken breasts since there was so much sauce (or maybe not use the whole bottle of bbq). Definitely will make this again!
