Spinach Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2014
I have made this soup many times and have not changed a thing. It is incredibly easy and delicious. I don't know why everyone has to feel the need to change recipes. The only thing i do is sprinkle with parmesan cheese each serving.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
I absolutely hate it when someone gives a recipe a less than 5 star review and goes on to tell about the changes they made. Follow this recipe to the T and enjoy. It's wonderful!

Three Can Shrimp Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
Every once in a while you come across a simple recipe that surprises the heck out of you because it tastes phenomenal. This is one of those recipes. Granted its not exactly healthy but so what? Once in a while its OK to treat oneself. Those who said it tastes gourmet quality...I definitely agree. Just made it for lunch for my husband and 88 year old father. They both said to definitely save this one. My only changes were that I only had about 3/4 cup half and half so I made up the rest with skim milk. I also used (two cans) canned medium shrimp which is my preferred size. Otherwise exactly the same. Don't be afraid to try this one just because it comes out of cans. No one and I mean no one will ever know.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
This is one of those recipes that you make and it is so good that you feel like it again the next day. I just made it for dinner this evening. Its midnight here and I'm waiting for my daughter to get home from work. What did I do? I snuck some of the leftovers. I think this is one of my favorite recipes from this site. It is very easy (buy the pre-sliced beef) and absolutely delicious! I have added it to my recipe box.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
I haven't written a review in years but really wanted to comment on this one. OMG!!!!!! I thought I'd feel like I was eating a heart attack but surprisingly that was not the case. I didn't brown the pork chops as some reviewers did. I put shredded cheddar on top because that's what I had. And my only addition was about 10 minutes before done I put a little bit of Sweet Baby Rays barbecue sauce on top. Next time I make them I will make them exactly as I did this time. Give them a try...totally worth it!

This is a delicious recipe as is. I also like adding minced or whole garlic. Brussel sprouts cooked this way are good. My favorite is asparagus brussel sprout combo.

My 22 year old daughter is a vegetarian and this is her favorite meal. My 85 year old meat eating father lives with us. I made this and he said that this is so good he'd request it on his birthday. I don't change a thing. Its perfect the way it is.

Hoagie Dip

Always a winner. I also like adding either provolone or swiss cheese. And it's fun to serve in a hollowed out bread bowl. Then it's good to the last drop!

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
These were delicious. I thought I knew what they were going to taste like before I ate them because I've eaten a lot of dishes with black beans and corn. I guess it's the brown sugar that chaged the flavor. At any rate these are everything you want in a recipe...quick, easy and yummy. UPDATE I am having these for lunch today and realized since the last time I rated these someone turned me on to baking them at 350 for about 15 minutes. Much better and much healthier.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
I've been making my brussel sprouts like this for a while now (since my cousin told me). I cut up asparagus and mix in with the bs's. Any kind of coursely ground salt works especially well. I give them a stir from time to time. If the sprouts are big cut them in half. I agree with the reviewer who says they pick them out of the pan before they even get to the table. They are amazing!

What a wonderful, delicious and easy to make soup. I just threw in what vegetable I had (even the already seasoned ones in the freezer). It was even better the second day. This is one I'll make again and again.

Marinated Pork Roast with Currant Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
I love to try different recipes. The first time I made this pork was probably two years ago. It is so incredibly awesome. I generally marinate it overnight and throw it in the slow cooker in the morning. When I make the currant sauce I put in just a touch of corn starch to thicken slightly. This will again be part of my Christmas buffet table. And mark my words - it will get the most comments.

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2001
I get recipes all the time off this website. My husband complains that he loves my cooking but never gets to enjoy the same meal twice. Until this recipe I have never rated a recipe. This was so incredibly fantastic. I have to admit that I had thick, boneless chops instead of a tenderloin and they were incredible. You know how sometimes you have something for dinner and then crave the flavor the next day? This one did it for me. This is one I will make often. Yum!
