Easy Vegetable Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
This was my first time making/eating a veggie pot pie. The store did not have cream of potato so I substituted for cream of mushroom. I also did not use the egg. The final result was tasty! It's not packed with flavour however, but good enough for me.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2013
After reading the other reviews and recommendations I only used 3 cups of flour and it was enough. I also ensured the pretzels baked on the middle-high rack to prevent burning on the bottoms of the pretzels. I also baked it at 415F as a reviewer suggested. The prezels turned out so well! They don't look perfect but I'm sure it takes practise to roll them out and twist them very nicely.

Baked Split Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2013
This chicken tasted so good! I used the same spices and baking time. To ensure the chicken breasts would turn out juicy I added chicken broth to the baking dish. It worked like a charm!

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
These muffins turned out well. They taste nice and light (most likely because butter is not added). My muffins also browned in the oven which gave them a nice crunchy texture on the muffin top. The modifications I made included adding zest of the one lemon I squeezed juice from and using dried cranberries as opposed to fresh. I also reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup because the cranberries add a sweetness to the muffins. I did not add the almonds.

Blueberry Muffins I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
I followed this recipe but added 1 cup of mixed berries (frozen, then thawed) and the muffins turned out great! They don't taste too sweet which makes it a great addition as a breakfast snack.

Lemon Loaf

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
My lemon loaf turned out well. I also substituted the sugar for icing sugar to coat it with lemon juice.

Oatmeal Craisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
The cookies taste okay to me but I think the recipe calls for too much sugar. They taste too sugary. 1 cup of brown sugar may be enough instead of also adding another cup of white sugar? They were a bit more soft in the centre than I would have liked them to be (possibly because I used margarine instead of butter?)

Banana Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
These muffins turned out pretty good! Can I say they are healthy because they have cranberries and bananas in them? :)

American Apple Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I enjoyed making this pie as well as eating it! It states that the baking time is 35-40 minutes, however my pie was ready in 25 minutes so check on your pie often because ovens vary. I also minimized the number of cups of apples to 4 because I didn't want the pie to overflow with apples.
