Rhubarb-Raspberry Crunch

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
Delicious! I doubled recipe but only used 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Baked in 9 x 13. I've made with raspberries and strawberries and we enjoyed both.

Sea Salt Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2014
These were absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe as written with the exception of using kosher salt instead of sea salt because that was what I had on hand. My husband thought they were the best sweet potatoes he had ever had. Certainly on the top of my list. We will definitely be having these again.

Make-Ahead Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
My husband and I love this stew. Made it for the second time today and love that it is one of those recipes that you can adjust to your liking as far as the veggies etc. are concerned. As long and you keep the basic broth recipe true to the original recipe you are good. Thanks Busyspoons.

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
This was delicious but I followed recommendations by others. I used fresh mushrooms, added beef flavoring, thyme and bay leaf. I cut the recipe in half because there are just two of us but I wish I would not have cut the sauce in half. It was soooo gooood. Served over mashed potatoes but I think noodles or rice would also be good.

Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2013
I made this to take to a pot luck supper and it was the first and only salad that was gone. I had several people ask for the recipe. I followed the recipe exactly except for the pasta. I used bowties because that was what I had on hand. Very good year round salad.

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
This recipe is so easy and yet so delicious. I used shredded mozz because that is what I had on hand. I also followed another reviewers advice and poured a little white wine in pan and baked covered for about a half an hour. Very tender and juicy but remember you won't get the meat brown with this method of baking. Will definitely make again.

Pumpkin Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
I made this about a month ago and it was delicious. I tweaked the stew recipe to our liking and followed others advice to oil the outside of the pumpkin and cover the stem. When I cut our pumpkin open it had such thick flesh that I was not able to put all of the stew in it. I continued to cook the remaining stew on the stove top until tender and then added it to the pumpkin as needed when serving. Make sure you scrape the pumpkin flesh with each scoop so that you get some delicious pumpkin in each bowl. I'm making this again tonight at my husband's request.

Crab Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
This salad was wonderful. It is so easily adapted to your personal taste. You can use any variety of veggies you prefer and as much or as little pasta as you llike. Do Not change the dressing recipe. It makes the salad and is so good as is.

Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
I had lots of delicious peaches so I was looking for a way to use them up. My grandkids love cupcakes so this recipe caught my eye. I made the following adjustments to the recipe: following other readers advise I used half white and half brown sugar, I decrease the oil to 1 cup and I added an additional 1 cup of peaches. Absolutely fabulous. Will definitely make again.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
I have always made my cabbage rolls in a pressure cooker so was not sure about baking them. I layed them in a singe layer in a large dish, sliced the remaining cabbage in about 2-3 inch slices and layed on top of rolls. I doubled the sauce ( which was very tasty) and poured over all. I baked it covered and an extra 20 minutes to allow for the extra cabbage. Delicious!! Will definitely make again.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
This is absolutely my favorite peanut brittle. I will never make stovetop brittle again. This brittle stays crunchy and does not get sticky like others I've tried. Thanks for making my life easier.
