High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

I tried this for the 1st time today. I usually cook mine in a slow cooker and it always comes out so juicy and literally falls apart but I wanted a nice roast that I cold slice and have for dinner and then use left overs for sandwiches... I have a fairly new gas stove (1 1/2 years old) and this did not hold the temperature. I followed it exactly and after 1 hour was skeptical. I usually can feel how hot the oven is when I touch the outside and this felt cold. I am glad I did because it was not even cooking. Disappointed as it had a lot of great reviews but obviously my stove does not hold the heat like others do.
