Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2014
As other people have said, this is a very sweet recipe, and while using tart apples may help, it is still too sweet for my taste (that's with sugar already reduced by 25%). Next time I'll try reducing the sugar by half. There was quite a bit of liquid after baking, but that didn't bother me.

Honey Baked Lentils

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2014
Based on other reviews I halved the amount of salt and honey, and that was the right decision for me, as it was still plenty sweet (next time I'll use even less honey), and just salty enough. I did pre-soak the lentils in a bit of water (for easier digestion), and that may be why the amount of water per the recipe was too much. I ended up with a very tasty lentil soup.

Avocado Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2013
As I was making the filling the taste of condensed milk was completely overpowering. I increased the lemon juice to about 1/2 cup, added a package of cream cheese (as suggested by other reviewers), but it still tastes like a condensed milk pie.

Baked Halibut Sitka

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2013
Great recipe! I try following recipes exactly the first time I make them, but didn't have green onions so used chopped white onion instead. It still turned out delicious, and I'm sure with green onion it would be even better. I baked the filet (approx. 1" thick) at 400 for 15 minutes. I agree with the other reviewer that 20 minutes at 475 degrees would definitely result in overcooked fish (and I like my fish well done).
