Frank's Spicy Alabama Onion Beer Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
Awesome recipe. I did cut back a bit on the spices, however next time I probably won't. It all simmers together and really just adds flavor as opposed to heat. It was so good and a nice change from our normal beer chili recipe.

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

I forgot to get the jicama so I just made the recipe without it and it was great. My husband and I loved it.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
This was a big hit at our last family gathering. I did add some onions and green pepper and a can of diced chiles after reading some of the reviews and I definitely think those made it outstanding instead of just great. This will be a stand by for us from now on!

Love this idea for zucchini! I made them per the recipe the first time and then started experimenting with spices. The whole family loves them!

Awesome. My husband raved! The only thing I added was some green pepper slices to the skewers for a little crunch. Loved it!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Wow. These are the best muffins I've ever made. My husband agrees! I didn't change anything in the recipe. I did use full fat yogurt because that's what was in the fridge and I think if I had used a low fat version they wouldn't have been quite so fantastic. These will definitely be made again!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Fantastic. I did follow comments and added taco seasoning to the beef, spread the beans on the tortillas instead of mixing in with the meat, and I also did two layers of tortillas. Came out great. Will definitely make again.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
I made this at Thanksgiving and it was the only dish that was completely gone at the end of the meal. Everyone loved it so much that the next night, when we were having leftovers of everything else, we made a second round of this and there wasn't anything left of that one either!

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
I baked instead of grilled, but this is a fantastic rub! Will definitely use again! The only change i made was celery salt instead of onion salt, as mentioned by another reviewer, just due to what was on hand. Really a great recipe.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
Wow. Just Wow. It's such an odd combo that if it didn't have so many great reviews I would probably not have looked twice. I used 2 tsp dried rosemary and cut back on the salt, and I didn't feel like grilling so I cut the chicken into strips, marinated and then baked it. This was fantastic and my husband raved about it.

Pumpkin Bread Puddin'

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
So, so good! I wasn't sure about the chocolate on top and so I skipped that and sprinkled raisins on top before baking. That didn't go so well, they kind of charred, but I just picked them off and we ate it without them. It was fantastic. It's perfectly sized to take as a dessert to a small dinner party, 4 or 6 people tops. Anything more than that and you'll have to double it. I baked it in an 8x8 dish for 45 minutes and it came out perfect. Next time I may mix the raisins in, or I may try it with the chocolate and see how that goes too. Overall, very easy, and very good!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
This was great. I hate leaving a review knowing I made changes to the actual recipe listed, but, this is a great base recipe and if you make it straight, it will be fabulous too. I used half the oil that it called for, and did half applesauce. I also cut the sugar significantly. It calls for 2 1/4 cups. I did 1 1/4 cups. Plus I forgot the vanilla, unintentionally, so it's probably not as sweet as it should have been, but it came out really, really well. I had planned on giving away the second loaf, but then we ate 3/4 of the first one right away, so, I kept it. :)

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
My husband went back for thirds!!! I did follow the advice of some of the reviewers and used this as a 'base' recipe and added a can of chiles, diced tomatoes and black beans. When it was done I thought it was a little too thick so I added a little chicken broth and let it sit for another 1/2 hour on low to heat up evenly.
