Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
The best. Will satisfy any onion ring craving, guaranteed. Don't bother drip-drying the onions-time waster.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
The name says it all: quick and easy. Oh, and delicious. All the flavor of Duncan Hines, none of the cost (and processing?). Cut down the flour to 1 C as recommended in the comments.

Yum. Aryeh loves this. Substituted chicken for the beef. Serve over minute noodles. Great.

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Wow. Excellente. Do NOT skip the water-spraying step or bread may come out burnt-ish and too crusty. Sprinkle the top with oil and salt. Delicious.

Must've done something wrong-the dough came out reeeally wet and unworkable. Maybe try again when you're really bored.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
Oh my goodness, this was INCREDIBLE! If you're looking for a super impressive yet super fast and easy chicken recipe, you just found it. The whole time we were eating it my husband and I kept looking at each other saying "Wow, this is REALLY good!". The original recipe is an excellent base, but it's definitely worth it to read through the other reviews to see what people have done to doctor it up. We sauteed minced garlic and sliced onions in the oil before browning the chicken and it was really fabulous just with that. Other people suggest adding cream, though we found the sauce was plenty rich without it. The recipe makes enough sauce for the chicken, but if you're planning on serving this over pasta you might want to double it (the sauce is so good, you won't complain!). This is definitely a recipe you'll want to come back to-stick in in your recipe box!

Iced Coffee Slush

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
Oh wow! This stuff is goood! If you're looking for a coffee-flavored way to cool off this summer, you found it! I poured the not yet frozen mixture into a couple of water bottles before freezing. Once they were frozen I took them out to defrost and was able to 'shake 'em up' to get them slushier faster. Also, if you don't have cream on hand, go ahead and use milk instead. The texture will be different, but the flavor is the same and it's still delicious! Enjoy!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
Yum! These were delicious! Super easy to make too-I should know, I've been trying to perfect my french fry recipe since hubby and I got married. This is the winner! I had to leave them in longer than suggested (we like them extra crispy) and the fries on the edges of the pan burned a little. Still great! I will definitely be making these again. These were a great side for garlic burgers, but they were so tasty, I would make them to go with just about anything (or even on their own for a snack!).

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
These were delicious-perfect for peanut butter lovers. They are definitely more time consuming than regular drop cookies, but probably not much more so than cut-outs. They were not super pretty though, more rustic-looking. Great for special occasions-or for a midnight snack with a glass of milk. Yum!

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
This was fun to make-and so yummy! Make sure you read other reviews for some great tips on how to cut the onion, make it stay open, etc. Also, make sure your oil is hot enough, otherwise you'll end up with a slightly crispy but mostly soggy onion. Enjoy!
