About this Cook
I like to cook for people. I get great satisfaction out of watching others enjoy what I have prepared for them. My first job was in a kitchen, and I still have trouble cooking for under 30 people. REALLY! I can't seem to scale things down.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My oldest and I stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning the night before Thanksgiving cooking the meal, and then wake up early to put the turkey on. Homemade pretzels Dipped pretzels Fudge Pie
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner every year is a triumph. Our families eat at noon, and then the neighbors and other friends come in and out all day. I cook for an army, no joke.
My cooking tragedies
Never, ever try to boil an egg in water in the microwave. KABOOM! Never, ever leave the sweetened condensed milk boiling in the can, trying to make caramel, without watching it closely. KABOOM! I have just recently came to an understanding with my waffle maker.

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini
Awesome recipe. You can add or subtract to this to fit your tastes without going wrong. I omitted the mushrooms(picky eaters),added garlic and mozzarella to the soup/sour cream mix. Yummo. Next time I am going to try French onion dip instead of plain sour cream.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes
Excellent comfort food. Great recipe, easy to follow. After I scoop out potatoes, I brush the empty skins with a little melted butter and return them to the oven for 5-10 minutes so they are crispy.
