Crushed Pineapple Sour Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
My mother-in-law makes this pie, but when she went out of town for Thanksgiving, I scrambled to find the recipe and ended up discovering Allrecipes.com as a result! I love this pie. The recipe was perfect. I just added some vanilla extract to the whipped cream. This is very easy and quick to make. Thanks.

Chocolate Malted Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
My son made this pie as part of our Thanksgiving meal. We used two squares of bittersweet chocolate rather than four. Also, we chopped our malted milk balls with a food processor and sprinkled them on top. It was delicious!

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes

I made this recipe as part of our Thanksgiving meal. Delicious! I put more butter than the recipe called for, and I also added some cream cheese. We'll be using this recipe often!

Cranberry Sauce with Apricots, Raisins, and Orange

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This was my first time ever cooking a Thanksgiving meal. I selected this recipe for my cranberry sauce and am so glad I did. My family loved it. My children who don't even eat canned cranberry sauce ate this and loved it! I used the exact recipe according to instructions and didn't find any need for modifications.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
When my mother-in-law told us she was going out of town this year for Thanksgiving, my first thought was to either take our family to a restaurant or to buy pre-cooked food to bring in. I decided to give cooking a turkey a try, and this was the turkey recipe I selected. It was fantastic! The only thing I added was something I saw someone do on tv. After putting the butter between the skin and the breast, I put a mixture of olive oil, salt, basil, and celery salt. Everything else was exactly according to recipe. It was delicious, tender, juicy, and literally did practically fall off the bone! Thanks!
