World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
This was a REALLY great lasagna! I have made a lot of lasagna over the years and this recipe is a keeper. I used 2 lbs ground beef as I had no sausage and I left out the fennel (don't care for the flavor). I used little less salt than what was called for, but other than those changes used the recipe exactly. It was SO good! I can't wait until dinner to have some of the leftovers!

Jeannie's Famous Potato Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
Great Recipe. We all loved it. I used a bag of shredded hashbrowns because I didn't have time to slice a bunch of potatoes (my food processor is packed away). It still came out great. Loved the white sauce in it. I cooked the onions chopped in the ground beef, but layered everthing else according to directions. Easy, delicious, and filling!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
Oh My Goodness!! We have fresh pizza faster than we could have had it delivered! No more than 30 minutes from start to finish and my 3 and 5 year old daughters were helping me! (could have been faster otherwise). :D Thanks for this great easy recipe!!

Caramel Custard

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
This was delicious and we ate it right out of the oven even in the heat of this Texas summer! I baked it in our roasting oven outside and it came out perfect. I sprinkled the brown sugar on it for the last 10 minutes baking and it melted up nicely (I didn't want to heat up the house with the oven/broiler). Minr also foamed up quite a bit after mixing it together, but it all went down while cooking.

Eggnog I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
This eggnog was excellent!! My kids loved it and usually only like store-bought! I was in a hurry and didn't whip the cream, but I think next time I will to thicken it up a bit. If you use pasturized eggs there is no danger in using the eggs raw, for those who have voiced concern. Personally, I prefer it to be not quite so sweet, so I think next time I will try doubling the recipe except for the condensed milk. Either way, this recipe is a winner!

Creamed Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
This soup is excellent! I am making it for the second time and followed the recipe as is except this time I used 3 cups homemade chicken broth instead of the 2 cups called for. (I used 4-5 cups broth last time and wanted it less soupy this time). I have it simmering on the stove until dinner time. I did only use 1/2 the thyme as I didn't have any the first time and thought it was great and I didn't want it to be too strong of a flavor as some reviewers commented. The flavors have blended together beautifully and I'm glad I only used 1/2 the thyme. It came out perfect!
